19.01.2022 This Chinese logging ship ran onto the reef at Buka Island in 2010 and was abandoned by the company. Foreign logging companies are notorious for raping PNG forests then leaving all their rubbish when they leave.

11.01.2022 Our Bell 204B is currently undergoing a major refurbishment. Works include engine replacement, replacement of all fluid hoses, new main rotor blades, structural upgrades, new floor panels and coverings, new pilots and crew seating and seat belts, new instrument panel and instruments, interior repaint and new interior linings. The main structural work is being completed by Nationwide Aerospace in Newcastle NSW whilst Eagle Australasia is refurbishing seats, doors, instrument panel and supplying upgrade kits.

11.01.2022 These photos are taken from our EC130 whilst traveling around Bougainville Island PNG. The active volcano is Mt Bagana, a Post- Miocene Strato Volcano and one of the most active volcanoes in the world. Its located near the middle of Bougainville Island with a peak of 5740 ft. The other pictured is Mt Balbi, a Holocene Stratovolcano situated at the Northern end of Bougainville. Its peak is 8907ft which is the highest point in Bougainville. Initial impressions of Bougainville and its people are one of magnificent landscapes and big smiles.

03.01.2022 The water was superb today. Spotted a good sized shark out at Nanarup Beach and did a couple of orbits to give the surfers a heads up. Who were only 50m. Got a so I think they got the idea. They got out pretty quick.

03.01.2022 The Southern Ocean sent in a 5m swell today. Great to see on our flights today from our South Coast base in Albany.

02.01.2022 This SOS made from rocks was discovered by Al Carstens whilst flying our EC130 along the Kimberley coastline last week. The finding was reported to the appropriate authorities. Signs of overnight habitation where also discovered in the area after landing and scouting the area.
