15.01.2022 BREAKING NEWS: 2020-21 Federal Budget Changes for Partner visas When: TBC, but intended for this budget year These changes are:... Sponsors need to lodge a separate application which must be approved before you can lodge a Partner visa application Mandatory character checks for the sponsorship application English language requirements for Partner visa applicants AND their sponsors who are permanent residents For applicants wishing to apply for a partner visa onshore while on their visitor/ETA visa, the process will not be as straight forward as the sponsorship application must be approved first Top 3 tips from our Principal Migration Agent: This really changes things for offshore Partner visa applicants. If you were intending to do an onshore visa application, we recommend trying to apply for a travel exemption to come to Australia, so that you can lodge an onshore application before the new changes are legislated. Because borders likely won’t open for potential partner visa applicants until late 2021, and additional restrictions will likely be legislated by then. This is only a brief summary of the changes; we will be posting an in-depth blog post of these changes soon. 14.01.2022 Today, we commemorate those who fought and died in the line of duty, for our freedom, for our better tomorrow. Why do Commonwealth countries celebrate Remembrance Day? This day 102 years ago, the guns of the Western Front fell silent after four years of continuous warfare, bringing to an end the First World War. Remembrance Day is a memorial day for us to remember and respect our fallen heros. #RemembranceDay #lestweforget
