23.01.2022 COVID-19 Update 23/11: And.. we’re back. Due to eased restrictions, Skylight Mental Health is back up and running with normal services in place. We will continue monitoring SA Govt. COVID rules and keep you updated if anything changes.... It is still important that you do not attend Skylight if you feel unwell, have flu-like symptoms, or visited any locations identified by SA Health. Instead, stay home and follow the SA Health guidelines. If you have any questions, please contact our friendly Customer Relations Team on 8378 4100. Skylight is available to provide support for you and discuss your needs during this time. Please note some key service updates in line with the current changes:... All Skylight sites are closed to the public at least for the next 6 days. All face to face appointments will be changed to phone or video. Participants are asked to be ready to receive a call from Skylight at your current booked appointment time. Where this is not appropriate and face to face services are essential, please call Skylight on 8378 4100 to consider alternatives. Selected group programs will be delivered via Zoom, others will be rescheduled. Further details about groups will be communicated over the coming day. 11.01.2022 While some of our services have a small break over the New Year period, we will continue to work with the Skylight community to deliver individual support. Our friendly staff will also still be on the phones to take your bookings as usual (besides the public holidays and weekends). Our office doors will be closed from 5pm on the 24th December 2020 and re-open at 9am on the 4th January 2021. 05.01.2022 Mental Health Week runs from the 10th - 17th October 2020. For all those in the Murray Bridge region, join us to create a Community Mandala this Tuesday the 13th of October from 10:00 am - 12 noon. Walk through and add your bit of nature to the Mandala. This event will be held at the Murray Bridge Community Centre, 18 Beatty Terrace. Bring your own natural items from your garden, or use what has been collected. For any enquiries, please call the community centre on 8531 1799. Accessible facilities are available. This event is in partnership with the Murray Bridge Community Centre and Mission Australia.
04.01.2022 On Tuesday, as part of Mental Health Week 2020, Skylight in the Murraylands partnered with the Murray Bridge Community Centre, Mission Australia and Foodbank Australia to hold an event for the community to come together and connect by constructing a huge nature Mandala! Thank you to Bunnings for donating the sand and black plastic for the event! We are really impressed with the finished piece and everyone had a great time deciding on replacement of beautiful nature and flowers gathered from gardens and the community centre surrounds. Conversations about mental health, wellbeing and health were coupled with fresh fruit salad served by Foodbank, and tea and coffee supplied by the community centre.
