25.01.2022 Its been some time between posts but we have been very busy here at Skytech testing and proving our systems. Our Dji Agras MG1S rtk has been performing exceptionally well through the tests. We have been working on high resolution mapping including photogrammetry and elevation data, spray swath optimisation, application rates and automatic systems. We have also added an upgraded radar module which allows for greater accuracy in following undulating land and obstacle detection.... Here is a couple of videos from our 1Ha test site showing the Agras returning and resuming operations in auto modes. Not long now and our system will be operational showing our customers the future of low impact, high precision applications Cheers Scott and Cheyne

24.01.2022 As in our last post testing never stops. We have started the process of testing our spreader system which allows us the ability to spread seed, granule pesticides, fertiliser, beneficials and other material from the air. This has a massive gain for primary producers in the reduction of soil compaction and flexibility in timing. The video shows slow motion action of our dji Agras with the spreader unit mounted running at 50% capacity.

24.01.2022 Cracker of a day for spraying. Today we are spraying some soybeans where the paddock is still to wet to get heavy machinery on. With our capability we can cover the whole paddock efficiently and accurately from the air. Give us a call today to see how we can help your farming operations

19.01.2022 Here at Skytech we are always testing and optimising our systems to ensure our drone spraying capability is operating at peak performance. Through using water sensitive paper, various teejet nozzles and flow rates we are acquiring data that will enable us to operate in many different crops. Precision agriculture isnt just about the equipment, its pushing the boundaries of efficiency to enable huge potential to the primary producer. In the photo we are using our rtk system over our test plot which allows the drone to operate with mm accuracy during its spray routes.

19.01.2022 From us here at skytech we hope everyone has had a fantastic Christmas and bring on an exciting 2020. Weve been busy with our green house projects and have just completed our latest video. Have a look and please share.

16.01.2022 Here at Skytech Solutions we work hand in hand with Agronomists and growers to achieve the best results. Today we spent the day applying fungicide to a developing zucchini crop at a property south east of Lismore. Together with the agronomist and the grower we were able to achieve exceptional coverage rates with our DJI Agras drone to achieve maximum results. This is where it is not just about flying a drone, its about collaboration at all levels to achieve repeatable results time after time. If you would like to know how we could help your business give the sensational team at Ace Ohlsson Bangalow a call or drop us a message.

14.01.2022 On Thursday we had the opportunity to work with the University of Queensland, Gatton Campus, for drift analysis using drones for pesticide applications. Over a 100m course the T16 would fly at right angles to the prevailing wind with test marks at about the halfway point measuring swath width and further out from that more test marks. A special fluorescent dye was used that can be picked up by a spectrometer. The test marks for drift were small pieces of Mylar set at regular intervals. These were then collected after the flight, bagged and then taken back to the lab where they are washed in a solution and the rinsate is then placed in the spectrometer that can pick up the smallest traces of the fluorescent dye. This was the first scientific analysis done for the T16 and eagerly awaiting the results.

12.01.2022 We here at Skytech love the data that drives our services. Over the last 2 days a lot of testing has been done on our new T16 spreader. Using urea at various rates we can achieve up to a 7m spread with rates up to 100kg per ha easily achievable. Check out the slow motion video of the spreader in operation. To see how we can help you in your fertiliser spreading, especially when its too wet to get heavy machinery in your fields, give us a call.

10.01.2022 Last week we undertook another important milestone in our trialling of Tree Orchard Spraying. On a property at Newrybar, we conducted extensive testing covering two differing application techniques. One was a continual spray which followed the tree line and the other was a spot rotational spray where the T16 positions itself above the crown of each tree. A tremendous amount of data was collected which will lead to another trial in the very near future. To top the day off we applied florescent dye and used a UV light to gain a whole picture view of spray coverage, which displayed very promising results.

09.01.2022 We had the opportunity the other day to have "The Land" newspaper interview us on what we do. Its in todays paper. Word is spreading on the technology we can apply on farm and we will only get bigger and keep pushing the boundaries of what drones and agricultural technology can offer producers.
