23.01.2022 The ONLY competition I have is myself. To compete with the me from yesterday, last week, last year. To be the best version of ME that I can be. To be someone I’m proud of. Someone my kids are proud of. Someone they can follow and align with. Better in the gym. Better leader. Better educator. Better human being. Better to those I love. To be the best version of myself that I can be and get better each day! #mevsme #competeforyou #bestversion #bestleader #someonetobeproudof

21.01.2022 Happy weekend... what are you training today? I did a killer leg session yesterday and core the day before. I might train arms today. Does anyone want me to post an arm W/O??

20.01.2022 Did you workout today? I skipped ‘rest day’ !! Haha. I did my own Squat Challenge that I’m running (today was 125 squats!) I am also in another challenge run my my trainer friend Janelle who set a decent AMRAP workout! AND my trainer friend Michelle enticed me into another challenge and today was 60 Squats and 60 Mountain Climbers!! ... My advice to keep motivated is enter challenges or set your own the night before! Say you’ll do it. Set your intention. Reward yourself (mine is a few glasses of wine tonight!) Let your strong mindset guide you into greatness. YOU GOT THIS!!!

18.01.2022 Having such a proud moment today. My morning group class SMASHED some BIG ASS weights and the grunts were very real. Then one of my PT clients held a plank for an extra 31 seconds of her PB AFTER her 30 minute cardio & arm sesh! Who else is smashing their Friday Funday??

18.01.2022 Keep your body moving If you’re like me and living in lock downed Melbourne, life has changed a lot for most of us. Schools are closed, businesses are closed, gyms and closed and a lot of people are working from home. For a lot of us this means our bodies are not moving as much. We aren’t walking to and from train stations, to workplaces, doing school runs, gym sessions or traveling to do weekend bush or beach walks or even trawling around a Sunday market ... It’s been hard to say the least but there are easy ways to ensure our bodies keep moving like they are designed to do. When you get a tea or lunch break do some squats as the kettle boils or food heats up. Each hour, step away from your computer or home schooling child and jog on the spot for 1 minute or two. Or three. If you can walk or bike to get daily groceries within your 5km radius, do it!! I’ve been filling a backpack with a smaller daily shop from our local - round trip is approx 3.5km of walking and around 5000 steps. Stand up when you take a mobile call and wander around - it’s all movement! Dance to songs with your kids. During the first 5 minutes of an evening TV show you could walk or march on the spot, do some squats, so some lunges or push ups! Be creative and think outside the gym life box! I think you’ll amaze and be proud of yourself

16.01.2022 ... I’ll just leave this here

16.01.2022 Today’s workout! I did 2 rounds, a cardio warm up and a static stretch cool down! Got a variety of goodies out to do this with and added the 15kg plate for tricep press. ... Thankfully I have equipment that I’ve sourced slowly over time. I know it can be limited but if you have anything heavy lift it! Have fun & smile

16.01.2022 So I’m not entirely sure this is correct for the PT industry, but as you can see here in Melbourne we are going through very trying hard times. I’m sure we will be told more over the next 2 months and we may see restrictions ease, but for now it’s unlikely to be in the full swing of Personal Training at its best until November Missing my clients, as I know they’re missing me. Hang in there everybody. We got this

14.01.2022 Got a band? Got something sturdy to attach it to? Got a workout. Varied rows, resisted glutes, resisted squats, upright rows.. the list goes on!!

14.01.2022 It’s all happening! I am officially apart of the Goodlife family! I am now able to train people from Goodlife Health Club in Chelsea Heights and from my personal home gym as usual. I will be available in the big gym with all the machines and dedicatedly still from home in a more private space As a Personal Trainer, I just want to help you achieve your goals, inside and outside of the gym I’ll be finding my feet these coming weeks at Goodlife so please come and say h...i, but I’ll bet I get to you first... PT life See more

12.01.2022 Just a few snippets of our training this week Enjoying a Sunday in the sun. Hope you all smashed some goals this week and have more planned for the week to come.

08.01.2022 The Bulgarian Squat is by far my Exercise of the week!! In the Bulgarian squat, it’s all about your glutes, quads and hamstrings. As well as testing your balance to the max which will improve your core strength ... The only difference from a traditional squat is that the rear foot is elevated. This small change ramps up the difficulty of the movement considerably. testing your balance engages the core placing a greater load on the front leg increasing leg strength Give them a go.

08.01.2022 In these crazy times, everything is unpredictable, even our emotions. It’s very much ok to not be ok some days and perfectly fine the next. There is no right or wrong way to deal with what the World is going through. Being in Melbourne, we are most certainly all just dealing with it the best way we can. Inhale. Exhale. Feel what you feel and try to remember there’s going to be an end to all of it eventually.

06.01.2022 New toy!! New toy!! We finally got a premium quality 7ft, 20kg Olympic Barbell So excited. Bench. Squats. Everything is now game on! Who else loves to LIFT!!??!!??

06.01.2022 Injuries suck! I’ve been sidelined as I’ve strained my Quadratus Lumborum The quadratus lumborum (QL) is our deepest abdominal muscle. It's found in your lower back, between the top of your pelvis and your lowest rib.... Many causes of this type of strain. Overuse, too tight, too weak, obliques not firing, inadequate breathing techniques.. but commonly the injury is caused by simple everyday tasks. Twisting to view something or lifting a child. Either way, rest is recovery.. well rest, heat packs, chiro, wine, nurofen, hot epsom salt bath, wine, deep heat rub (thanks in advance husband & kids ), no strenuous activity & wine!! Purely medicinal purposes of course. So in the meantime I’m still instructing clients, I’m just unable to demonstrate and partake as effectively as normal, but the workouts are still amazing

05.01.2022 What’s your favourite body part to train at the moment? I go through phases but right now it’s triceps! Been a bit lazy when it comes to the old tri’s, but getting back into them now with some dumbbell and plate work and as we now have cables from our roof, they’ll be getting utilised soon too. Triceps are a small muscle group so remember to work them, but do not over do it. Body weight and lighter weights for high reps is perfect ... Pics are tricep kickbacks, tricep ovetheads and triceps press.

04.01.2022 Happy Father’s Day to all the Dads, Grandad’s, Poppy’s, Dads-to-be, stepdads, Mums who are Dads and the Dads watching over us in heaven

02.01.2022 Preparation is key Does anyone else have a whiteboard (or notebook) they scribble workouts on? I fill mine with random notes and exercises as I think of them. It’s a great way to set up a full workout for myself and not have to think on the spot!! If you fail to plan, you plan to fail!
