23.01.2022 Australian Highline Record 580m long 200m high . this may have been the biggest milestone for our community so far . Getting the logistics, organisation and stoke to rig such a long Slackline across these gaps is definitely not easy. ... . . the crew members were in an absolute connection which made the process look smooth and safe. . . Also having the right gear for the job made total difference regarding to rigging efficiency. To pull the webbing across we used a Rigging Winch from @harkenaustralia combined with a 54v Right Angle Drill from @dewalt_australia . . . ‘24 hours of fun ‘ is the name the team chose for this monster line , referring to the amount of time that the line was up. . . Unfortunately we got shut down by Park Rangers and Police Rescue who were impressed with our level of skills to pull off such an act but still do not recognise our activity. (more work for the Australian Slacklining Association) . . Full moon energy came in to gift us with perfect Weather conditions: light NW winds , sunny and warm days. . . 2 people send the line: Gabriel Camolesi in 1h03min Maxwell Pierce in 52min Another 4 people crossed Arthur Pera 1 fall 20m from end in 58min @Drew Abernathy in 50min Loic Leray in 55min @Nathaniel Glavurdic in 1h10 Also lead riggers Art Ho Bayly Paulo Ritter Adam Evans Chris Wallace had their chance to get on and have a taste before we had to de rig the line . RIGGING FACTS The line was droned in 2 goes having the fishing line taken to the anchors from the middle section . tagline : 200m parachord + 400m of 6mm Telco chord + 160 m of 8mm rope Webbing : 250m of Moonwalk + 220m of Feather Pro + 110m of Aero 2 3 inov splits on the line in total standing tension : 3.1 to 5kn 1 person on it : 3.5 to 5.5kn 2 person 4.5 to 6kn We have notified the Civil Aviation body in Australia and issued a NOTAM regarding to risk to aircraft. We did not need to install a secondary because the area is not a usual route for aircrafts. Thank you to all amazing people involved in this beautiful project. It wouldn’t have happened without you and you know it This accomplishment shows us that anything is possible as long as you do your planning and preparation really well.... and have a bit of luck with the weather too
