24.01.2022 Nightly News Bite It has a new name and logo! The Mackay Regional Sports Precinct, currently under construction at the CQUniversity Ooralea campus. We’ve end...orsed Mackay Aquatic and Recreation Complex, or Mackay ARC, as the precinct’s name. The name was endorsed by council today. The 12-hectare site will accommodate three state-of-the-art swimming pools, a synthetic athletics track and multi-use playing surface when it opens early next year. https://bit.ly/2Od5OYZ Twenty local community groups were awarded a share of $86,000 in the first round of Community Grants. Benefiting from a grant include C&K Eimeo Road Community Kindergarten are to establish a bush tucker garden and the Mackay Swimming Academy will host the Great Barrier Reef Swim Meet in late October. https://bit.ly/2RGBCUn Council is taking steps to become a Reserve Trustee of the popular Platypus Beach area at Mirani. An application will be made to the State Government department that allows council to have more jurisdiction around public safety in the area.

Fully qualified Nationally accredited athletics coach. Bring your water bottle and shoes/joggers and a happy smile to have some fun.
