Thank you to all the parents who were there for their children and supported them through such a challenging year. Thank you to all the volunteers, photographers and our community for being there for us. 2020 didn't beat us. We learnt new things, we embraced new friends and kept going!

21.01.2022 This year to celebrate Ukrainian Independence Day, SLAVA was very fortunate to be invited to participate in several International Online Festivals including in Ukraine (Skadovsk) , Spain (Barcelona) and Canada (Alberta)! COVID-19 and the lockdowns it has created around the globe has given us a new way of showcasing our Centre and connecting with Ukrainians from every continent. We are very grateful that we have still been able to share our culture and promote South Aus...tralia to the world! The first performance we'll share with you is SLAVA in Skadovsk, Ukraine! 01.01.2022 3.9 millions of Ukrainian people perished in 1932-1933 due to man-made femine. Stalin wanted to punish independence-minded Ukrainians who posed a threat to his authority. 50000 Ukrainians were sent to Siberia, many more to labor camps and prisons. 13% of population starved to death. 16 countries have recognized the Holodomor as the "murder through starvation" that was deliberately planned. All around the world Ukrainians commemorate the day of remembrance of Holodomor.
