25.01.2022 Worship 'Out of Beauty' Ps Ken Wigglesworth 27th September 2020

25.01.2022 Give Thanks with a Grateful Heart Ps Stuart Price 6th September 2020 The Apostle Paul tells us about the importance of being thankful even when things are hard or in times of persecution. Paul was continually drawing out in gratitude for the great things God had done. ... To be a grateful person means you are thankful towards the person or people who have helped you or given you something that you consider of great value. A grateful person develops a deeper appreciation for life. We quite often take the people we love for granted. Taking things or people for granted shows a lack of appreciation or gratitude. Do you value what you have? Pastor Stuart referred back to these verses as examples of how and why we should be continuously thankful with a grateful heart, just like the Apostle Paul. Col 1:3 We give thanks to God and the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, praying always for you, Col 1:4 since we heard of your faith in Christ Jesus, and of the love you have to all the saints, Col 1:5 for the hope which is laid up for you in Heaven, of which you heard before in the Word of the truth of the gospel, Col 4:2 Continue in prayer and watch in it with thanksgiving, Psa 9:1 I will praise You, O Jehovah, with my whole heart; I will tell of all Your marvelous works. Psa 9:2 I will be glad and rejoice in You; I will sing praise to Your name, O Most High. Psa 7:17 I will praise Jehovah according to His righteousness, and will sing praise to the name of Jehovah most high. http://www.slcchurch.com.au//give-thanks-with-a-grateful-h

23.01.2022 A life more abundantly Ps Craig Winnington To live an abundant lifestyle we need to live from the eternal realm not the natural/physical realm.... We looked at Mark 5:21-24 and discovered that we need to touch, and go with Jesus through this life, and the first thing Jesus will do for us is to show us who and what our life source is. When we touch Jesus our life source is changed, just like the woman with the issue of blood. When your life source changes so does your lifestyle, and sometimes like Jairus, you need to say nothing, and let Jesus do the talking. Build up an expectation of God every day and expect your life to change. Learn to live without fear. Because fear really is only, False Evidence Appearing Real. The things to consider and meditate on from Mark 5:38 41 is all about what Jesus did: verse 38 Jesus came to, verse 39 Jesus came in, verse 40 Jesus put them all out, verse 40 Jesus took people with faith, verse 41 Jesus took the hand John 10:10 The thief does not come except to steal and to kill and to destroy. I have come so that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly. To rob or steal means to take away from you illegally. Jesus came to give it all back. Surround yourself with faith-filled people, and do not fear, only believe. Ps Stuart Price http://www.slcchurch.com.au//messages/a-life-more-abundantly

18.01.2022 How to pray things into existence Ps Ken Wigglesworth 11th Oct 2020 live

18.01.2022 The Secret To Answered Prayer http://www.slcchurch.com.au/messages Stay Intentionally Focused and Live In The World Of My Word.... This simple message reveals the secret to having your prayers answered. ‘If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you shall ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you.’ John 15:7. And 1 John 3:23, 24 tells us how can know that we are abiding. Firstly through obeying the command to believe and secondly by revelation from the Holy Spirit who lives in us. The opening statement reflects the two instructions Jesus gave in John 15:7. In order to abide you must be intentionally focused on your vital union with Jesus. Paul tells us that the issue of abiding is settled because we are a new creation and that new creation just abides (lives) in Christ. 2 Cor 5:17 We also must take communion often. Jesus instructs that whoever ‘eats my flesh and drinks my blood abides in Me, and I in him.’ John 6:56. These scriptures settle the issue that we are abiding in Christ if we keep this knowledge fresh in our mind and heart. It is an automatic dwelling and meets the first requirement of answered prayers. Secondly, Jesus said: ‘and My words abide in you.’ This is a clear instruction to spend copious amounts of time reading and meditating on scripture. I believe that we need at least an hour each day doing this. It takes time to live in the world of God’s Word, but for those who do take the time find that the Word has a way of attaching to us. The example of the blessed man in Psalm 1 in clear. In verses 1-3 he refuses to listen to or associate with the ungodly, the sinful or the scornful. He delights to spend day and night reading and meditating on the Word of God. God answers his prayers because verse 4 tells us the outcome of this behaviour: Whatever he does prospers! Again Joshua is instructed by a direct conversation with the Lord to do exactly the same thing: Meditate in the Word day and night. The result from obedient living: prosperity and good success. Joshua 1:8. This is the wisdom of God and the master key to answered prayer. Abiding in Him and His Word. Try it for yourself and you will see a massive difference in your life and be full of stories of answered prayers. God bless Ken Wigglesworth

13.01.2022 http://www.slcchurch.com.au/messa/looking-beyond-this-world Looking beyond this world Ps Stuart Price... 2Co 4:16 For this cause we do not faint; but though our outward man perishes, yet the inward man is being renewed day by day. 2Co 4:18 we not considering the things which are seen, but the things which are not seen; for the things which are seen are not lasting, but the things which are not seen are everlasting. Look at verse 16 the discussion about two people, the one seen and the one that is invisible. The world is passing away, everything is temporary, except the things of the eternal. Focus on the eternal things the things that never die or end. All our natural eyes can see is the physical they can’t see into the supernatural or eternity. That’s why we need to live from the inner man, to find a strength welling up inside of us, this is where we need to live from. Col 3:1-4 tells us to set our minds on things above. A simple example is where we place our focus is what we will see. If you purchased a new red car of a particular make and model you would suddenly see many of them on the road with you, you never saw them before. Faith makes the unseen things visible, what you focus on is what you will see more of.

12.01.2022 http://www.slcchurch.com.au//spiritual-growth-fruitful-gro Spiritual Growth Fruitful Growth in the Faith Ps Stuart Price... This week Ps Stuart talked about Faiths Ladder of Virtue that can be found in 2 Peter 1:5-7, here you can find the 7 add-ons to your faith, that makes the perfect completeness. What does Ps Stuart mean about add-on? It's like buying a new car, the salesman will tell you the base price of the car and then tell you the price after all the add-on's, for instance; the floor mats, fabric protection, paint protection, headlight protectors, boot protectors. When you were born-again God gave you a Measure of Faith, and you add to that Faith, Virtue, Knowledge, Self Control, Steadfastness, Godliness, Brotherly Kindness and Love. By adding these 7 qualities to your Faith you will be growing in your Spiritual Growth. Peter is writing to a group of people he wants to see grow as Christians and become effective as followers of Jesus. I too want this for you all. Peter tells his readers to add to their faith. The Bible is such a rich book, it is God's handbook for all of us. I ask you to read for yourself 2 Peter 4-11 and take special note of verses 8-11.
