06.05.2022 Since the start of 2022 SLED has refused more than 174 operative licence applications and 19 Master licence applications. The most common reasons for the refusal of licence applications were drug-related convictions and findings of guilt for prescribed offences.



02.05.2022 Sometimes people wonder why probity checks take four to six weeks to complete. It’s because some of the probity checks are conducted by agencies in other Australian states, which means SLED has no control over how long the checks take to complete. Once we receive the results from the probity checks we can decide whether to grant the licence.

21.04.2022 Have you submitted your security licence application since 26 April 2022? Don’t forget, once you get your fingerprint letter you’ve got 42 days to get your fingerprints taken or your application will be refused.
