20.01.2022 ‘Path 2 Home’ is a free phone app and is a guide to help those looking for immediate support with a crisis, housing, food, clothing & other support, and do not know where to go for help in the Nowra, Bomaderry, Ulladulla, Batemans Bay, Narooma, Moruya, Cooma, Jindabyne and Bombala regions. It provides a list of names and location maps of services in these areas that can help, such as support agencies, counselling, free showers, toilets, laundry facilities, food banks, free or low cost meals, food parcels, help with emergency shelter or a bed for the night, Police & Hospital locations & numbers and 1800 hotlines.

19.01.2022 The word homeless often depicts an image of someone down and out, untidy perhaps even dirty and unkempt, and we are all too familiar with the picture of someone curled up on a park bench. However being homeless, does not always look this way. The fact is that the person standing next to you in the supermarket line or someone driving a car that pulls up next to you at the traffic lights may be homeless or at risk of homelessness - homelessness can happen to anyone, it affects us all. It was incredible to be a part of an amazing community event, raising funds for the not for profit services assisting those in crisis. We hope to see you all again next year and help make SOS an annual event, bigger and better!

05.01.2022 LAST week the Jervis Bay Lions Club donated 15 swags to the Sanctuary Point Vinnies shop for the Street Swags program. The swags will be given to homeless people to use as bedding and protection from the elements. Lion Bob Hanlon said the club heard about the program and decided to take on the challenge of fund-raising for it.... Great to see the community rallying together to help those less fortunate.
