24.01.2022 HAPPY WATTLE DAY! Wattle Day marks the first day of spring. The Wattle tree is also one of the first plants to regenerate after fire - reminding us of the importance of renewal. This year, The 2020 Golden Wattle Award goes to Australia’s health and medical professionals. They have shown unity and resilience through #COVID19 - putting their own lives at risk to keep the Australian community healthy and safe. An award well deserved
23.01.2022 The path to achieving an amazing ageing experience is certainly the yellow brick road that we all must follow to a better future, but the first step on that journey is to admit that we have some significant challenges; challenges that have impeded the adoption of innovation and new technology for too long. Missed our Leading Age Services Australia National Congress presentation last week? Here you go Sleeptite CEO, Cameron van den Dungen, talks about some of the obstacles he has faced while innovating in the #AgedCare sector.
22.01.2022 Science needs Business to take innovations out of the lab and into the real world. Business needs Science to stay relevant and keep innovating. So, on this National #ScienceWeek we would also like to highlight the marriage of Science & Business - what a win win relationship!
21.01.2022 Congratulations to these schools, children and families for brightening the days of our most vulnerable - and now ours. It has never been more important to find ways to connect and show how we care for the elderly living in aged care homes, or on their own, across Australia. We encourage you to take inspiration from these children and find a way to #maketheirday
21.01.2022 Let’s talk about sleep and interior lighting! A recent Brown University study suggests automated LED lighting systems that shine at different intensities throughout the day may help #AgedCare residents sleep more sound. A bigger focus on interior lighting could therefore be a new way to drive better sleep health outcomes in aged care facilities!
19.01.2022 We are all about this! What an amusing and heart-warming segment - The Project featuring residents from the Willows Lifeview Residential Care

18.01.2022 Dementia affects close to half a million Australians and that number is set to double in the next 25 years. With so many people impacted now and into the future, the goal of the #DementiaActionWeek2020 is to clear up some of the prevailing misconceptions about Dementia. 15.01.2022 Well, well, well what do we have here? This, ladies and gentlemen, is a mattress rollator tester, and embedded into this mattress cover are our stretchable proximity sensors that form the foundation of our non-invasive aged care resident monitoring system. This process is one of the most crucial components of our R&D as we test our sensors for durability and robustness.... Testing Adjusting Progressing It takes time, but step by step we are etching closer to a working prototype. 10.01.2022 Last year, at the Gerontech and Innovation Expo cum Summit in Hong Kong, Sleeptite met the lovely founder of inmutouch Danmark - a Danish company that has created an interactive music device named Inmu, developed specifically for people living with #Dementia. This #DementiaActionWeek2020 we want to highlight the Inmu. Not only does it have an extremely cute name but it is an ideal tool for sensory stimulation and music therapy - providing calmness and peace of mind to the user. This is a prime example of how #innovation can help promote #care & #wellness. In Australia, the Inmu can be purcased through Leef at www.leef.com.au

08.01.2022 This is a tough time for us all, but especially for people in #ResidentialAgedCare. A letter, a post card or a call can go a very long way ... Don't know anyone in aged care, but want to help make someone's day? Several organisations are now working on matching people with aged care residents to promote a sense of togetherness. Read more below: https://www.theage.com.au//a-little-less-isolation-a-littl
06.01.2022 Our world has changed, but our need for human connection has not... Reach out to your loved ones - especially older family members. If you can't see them in person - even through a window like in this captured moment - take the time for a phone call, video chat, letter, or email #MakeSomeonesDay
01.01.2022 Through the #COVID19 lockdown, communicating through technology became the new norm for so many of us Technology kept us safely connected while we stayed physically apart. But at Sleeptite we have been demanding far greater things from technology. What if technology could change the way #agedcare is provided, leading to a better life for our most vulnerable?
