18.01.2022 We're forever in awe of the colours and diverse landscapes of #theamazingsouthcoast, captured here by @josh_burkinshaw. This pristine part of region is the reno...wned Elephant Rocks, which you'll find near the forested village of #Denmark in Western Australia, a scenic 4.5-hour road trip from Destination Perth. This charming township is filled with local wineries and delicious cellar doors so be sure to arrive with an empty stomach as you adventure around this spectacular part of the world! 17.01.2022 These two little whale spotters are on the case at Little Beach, in Two People’s Nature Reserve. "We climbed some rocks to check out the view and were blown a...way to spot a whale, thrashing her tail around a mere 30m away from us."- @aussietravelbugs Western Australia has one of the longest whale-watching seasons in the world and #theamazingsouthcoast provides some great vantage points for witnessing these graceful giants. The annual migration of humpback, southern right whales and the rare blue whale brings these marine creatures to Albany waters each June, and a host of wildlife enthusiasts too! From June to October, observe these gentle giants from many of the beautiful beaches and coastal lookouts throughout the region. Don't forget the LiveLighter Welcoming The Whales Festival 2019 on Saturday 1st of June 10am - 2.30pm. A celebration at Albany's Historic Whaling Station to welcome the whales to this beautiful part of the world! Thanks to @aussietravelbugs

11.01.2022 Found: The ultimate top spot to watch the sunset in #theamazingsouthcoast. @hilaryl_ hiked up to Castle Rock’s Granite Skywalk, a suspended walkway on a huge ...granite outcrop overlooking Porongorup National Park. This national park has a unique range of 12 peaks that’s home to many native plants and animals, just a 45-minute drive from Albany. Our tip: Wear your best hiking shoes for this return walk, as you need to scramble over some rocks and climb a ladder to get to the top; we guarantee the view is well worth it.
