04.01.2022 Yesterday's double QRE at Mylor was "atmospheric" (light misting rain). I am really starting to love this new setup. Courtesy of software by James Park, I reali...zed I could increase my string weight, reduce my brace height and get increased arrow speed with good tune. Lo and behold, courtesy of a new string from Slick Performance Archery, it works just as predicted! The only down side is I also have to slightly increase my draw weight, which was already on the high side for me. Nonetheless, I managed a 614 for the WA 70/720 round which was a PB and a new state masters record, so maybe I'll just persist and get a bit stronger! I struggled a bit through the clicker with some of the last arrows in the last ends, so I decided discretion was the better part of valour and withdrew from the second QRE. It was good shooting with Clare Reuther and Laura Paeglis, who shot great to get one of the qualifying scores she is after.

02.01.2022 A big shout out for these archers Alec Potts, Dave Barnes, Greg Opie, Ian Dall and Chris Drown on their huge medal count at the AA National Championships this week 6 Gold, 7 Silver and 1 Bronze. I do the easy part building their strings, while they do the hard work shooting arrows in the gold!!!
