17.05.2022 We have some exciting news regarding all the blends as of this week! We’ve been given the unique opportunity to have a single producer, single farm, and single variety in a larger quantity to be able to put in our blend. A first for us at Slide, this is great because it’s even more traceable directly to one farmer. Previously, most Colombian coffees sourced for the blend components have been 'Community lots’... (lots of farmers from one region blending their coffee together to make a larger amount). This is still great but less direct communication and harder to trace who’s apart of what blend. Meet Jairo, our amazing Colombian Farmer. We will be sharing more on His farm, the beans, new flavour notes, and what we love about this unique opportunity in the coming weeks. REGION: SHEVAROYS HILLS ALTITUDE: 1,400 - 1,600 MASL PROCESSING: PINEAPPLE PROCESS VARIETAL: SL9 AND SL5B FARM OWNER: PRAKASHAN BALARAMAN More info... This coffee is grown in Shevaroys Hills in India. The cherries are selected carefully and handpicked. They are then washed three times to remove the coffee cherry from the bean. Green beans then undergo a unique process where they are kept in air-tight bags along with well ripened pineapples for a period of 72 hours. During this time, the temperature and PH levels are closely monitored to ensure consistency among all lots. The beans are then dried on raised beds for 25-30 days. This unique process results in a rich, syrupy mouthfeel with notes of rum, raisin and orange.

20.01.2022 We roast our single origins two ways.. Filter Roast and Espresso Roast. Have you tried filter roast coffee? Ideal for brewing with pourover, batch brewers, aeropress, cold brew or plunger. Its lighter in strength, cleaner and full of delicate flavours. It reminds some people of a nice smooth tea. If youre keen to start drinking black coffee, this is the best place to start, nice, easy drinking. If you like a punchy stronger brew, youll be looking for espresso roast. Roasted for espresso machines, but also preferred by many plunger & stovetop brewers. Bolder, full bodied with stronger flavours. Youll find both options at most cafes using Slide Coffee.... Or both are available online or at our tasting room

18.01.2022 NEW RELEASE - FILTER ONLY COLOMBIA VILLARAZO (HONEY PROCESS) PRALINE, ORANGE, ROSE - Grown by one of our favourites in the industry; Jairo Arcila at Finca Villarazo. This coffee is picked following a strict ripeness criteria and hand sorted. The cherries are left to ferment inside plastic tanks for 48 hours, later pulped and left to dry on raised beds below 35 degrees celsius until ideal moisture content is achieved. Region: Oromia Altitude: 1980 - 2000 MASL Processing: Natural Varietal: Heirloom Farm Owner: Teman Aba Mecha Farm info: This naturally processed lot is of the Heirloom variety. Heirloom varieties in Ethiopia are said to be over a hundred years old.. It's a delightful, fresh coffee that were excited to showcase. The farm owner; Teman Aba Mecha takes great pride in each harvest, naturally drying each lot on raised sun beds for approximately 20 days at 2000 meters above sea level.
