18.01.2022 Until the pandemic hit, being admitted to practice as a lawyer in Victoria meant a day out in the big smoke - with an official court ceremony complete with wigs and gowns , followed by wine bars and fancy restaurants . While COVID-19 restrictions meant our newest lawyer Jorda Burnett didn't get to have that experience on her big day last Friday, we reckon she's nailed her own version of a celebration in true country lawyer style: a picnic and a bottle of champagne... up the back paddock. Jorda has been working with SLM Law since 2019 and she makes a fantastic contribution to our team. Congratulations Jorda!

15.01.2022 SLM Law would like to advise clients that, unfortunately, one of our Colac staff members has received confirmation of a positive COVID-19 test. It is important to note that this staff member has a role in our firm which does not generally involve face to face contact with clients. Our thoughts are with the employee who has been isolating at home for the past seven days. We wish our affected employee well. Fortunately, following the news of a rise in the number of cases in Col...ac, we took the proactive step of closing our Colac office on Monday, 20 July 2020 to ensure the health and safety of our employees and our community. Our Camperdown and Cobden offices have also been closed to the public over the past week. We understand that everyone is anxious right now. We are closely monitoring what is going on and will follow the recommendations of DHHS. SLM Law has been part of the local community for more than a century and we will be here into the future. 04.01.2022 SLM Law welcomed Grace Langdon to the team back in 2017, while she was completing a double degree in Law and Arts from Australian Catholic University. Grace will be a familiar face to many, having grown up in Colac. Grace joined the team on a full-time basis as a Law Graduate at the start of 2019.
