25.01.2022 All children at SLOOSH are valued and play an integral part of our planning and programming
25.01.2022 Today we extended the Go4GoldKye Gymnastics program into an obstacle course in the stadium. The children seemed to really enjoy trying out the new apparatus as we added a single mini Tramp, Parrallel bars and the children had a challenge who could complete course correctly in the fastest time. Congratulations to Sean who completed the course in 25seconds making him the Champion of the Day. A big Happy birthday to Luqman who brought in a delicious mudcake to share with his SLOOSH Family

18.01.2022 Day 4 Sept-Oct 2020 Vacation Care. Beautiful day for a swim. We are so lucky to be situated at such an awesome facility to provide these experiences for our children. Small groups are taken to ensure supervision is foremost with water based activities and rules and procedures are explained to the children before entering the water
18.01.2022 Dear families, Free choice and intentional teaching is embedded in our programs at SLOOSH, aiming to meet the individual needs and interests of all children in our care. Providing an inclusive, stimulating, fun and safe environment we educators observe, evaluate, reflect and extend on experiences and activities. If your child has come home and told you about something they have done at SLOOSH that they liked or even disliked it would be greatly appreciated if you could share ...this information with one of the Educators so that we can implement and critically reflect to improve the delivery of our programs. You can also just write a comment on the daily diary that is situated at the sign in/ sign out table. Any information, cultural activities, stories, experiences that you could also jot down would be a great help when planning for your children. See more

15.01.2022 DAY 1-Vacation Care 0ur Sustainability project-"building our own vege patch" was a wonderful experience today for all whom participated. There were many conversations on vegetables and plants that some of the children's mum and dads grow at home. We haven't finished yet but its looking great already and hope to be able to grow some of our own herbs and vegetables to use in our meals at SLOOSH. This experience is promoting eating healthy and it makes sense that we tend to love getting to eat what we growand so do your children. Please don't forget to bring your piece of fruit, hat and water bottle each day and tomorrow you will need to pack your swimmers and towel

So please make sure you aware of the symptoms and testing required if you or your children are feeling unwell or have flu like symptoms. 09.01.2022 PUBLIC HEALTH ALERT LIVERPOOL The discovery of COVID-19 virus fragments in sewage at the Liverpool sewage treatment plant has prompted renewed calls for resid...ents to get tested. The virus fragments were detected through the state’s ongoing sewage surveillance program. Detection of the virus in sewage samples could reflect the presence of known cases of COVID-19 diagnosed in recent weeks in the area served by this sewage treatment plant. However, NSW Health is concerned there could be other active cases in the local community in people who have not been tested and who might incorrectly assume their symptoms are just a cold. The area served by the treatment plant includes the suburbs of Bardia, Hinchinbrook, Hoxton Park, Abbotsbury, Ingleburn, Prestons, Holsworthy, Edmondson Park, Austral, Cecil Park, Cecil Hills, Elizabeth Hills, Bonnyrigg Heights, Edensor Park, Green Valley, Pleasure Point, Casula, Hammondville, Liverpool, Moorebank, Wattle Grove, Miller, Cartwright, Lurnea, Warwick Farm, Chipping Norton, Voyager Point, Macquarie Links, Glenfield, Catherine Field, Gledswood Hills, Varroville, Leppington, West Hoxton, Horningsea Park, Middleton Grange, Len Waters Estate, Carnes Hill, Denham Court. People in these areas must be aware of any symptoms of illness, and immediately isolate and get tested should even the mildest of symptoms appear that might appear to be just a cold. Symptoms such as a runny nose or scratchy throat, cough, tiredness, fever or other symptoms could be COVID-19. After testing, you must remain in isolation until a negative result is received. The only way to find new cases and prevent further transmission is to increase testing. There are more than 300 COVID-19 testing locations across NSW. To find your nearest clinic visit https://www.nsw.gov.au//how-to-protect-yourself-an/clinics or contact your GP. Sewage testing for genetic material of SARS-CoV-2, the virus that causes COVID-19, started in July, adding another tool in the fight against the global pandemic. There is no evidence COVID-19 is transmitted via wastewater systems.
08.01.2022 Day 3 Sept-Oct Vac Care 2020. What a great experience the children had today with the VR Gaming set. It was hilarious watching from the sidelines some of their reactions and moves. Think this will be returning next Vacation Care but on the big screen. Children were all very behaved and respectful of the equipment and waited patiently for their turn. DON'T forget its PJ movie Day tomorrow featuring Scooby Dooby Doo
