24.01.2022 Good evening triathletes, 7. DAYS. TO. GO! We do have some news to share for those people, especially locals, who have been concerned. The council has been doing road works on the Koondrook-Murrabit road since late last year. Originally when planning the event, the road works were expected to be completed, however they are still in progress and will be next weekend. All this means is that there is a section on the Sprint Distance Course, just after Burke Road, of approximatel...y 500 metres that is dirt. The council has ensured us that they will be making the road nice and smooth and fine to ride across! Please contact us if you have any concerns, but we are confident that with the plans we have in place, this will cause minimal disruption to the event! 18.01.2022 Thanks so much to everyone involved this morning! I won't have a big long post thanking everyone again. Please feel free to message through feedback. We are aware of the confusion on the run out the back of the park, which will be our priority at this stage to improve for next year! We have also attached times from the event this morning, so please check them out! They are attached as 3 seperate pictures as Facebook won't let me upload pdfs/excel sheets! Thanks again and we look forward to seeing everyone next year to make it bigger and better again!

17.01.2022 1 more sleep! We can't wait to see you in the morning! Bike check ins/registrations are open from 7-8:30am. We have 1 late sponsor to shout out, the Long paddock food store! They have agreed to open a little bit earlier at 8am and will be doing discounted coffees/hot chocolates between 8am and 9am to make getting up early on a Sunday that bit easier, or for any spectators of the triathlon! Thanks heaps to the team at the long paddock! For those who are from out of town, the ...long paddock is an approximately 2 minute walk from the transition area at Shop 2/86 Main St, Koondrook. 13.01.2022 IMPORTANT SPRINT DISTANCE UPDATE Good afternoon triathletes. Due to the road works on the Koondrook-Murrabit road, we have decided to restructure our sprint distance ride to avoid these works and hence remove the dirt section of the course. This will mean:... 1. You will complete your 18 laps (600 metres) as normal and collect your bike from the transition area 2. Head straight across Grigg Road and continue STRAIGHT down Koondrook West Road for approximately 3 kms 3. Where you will turn around the road will turn to dirt AND there will be a marshall directing you 4. Once you return to PENGLASE STREET, you will turn left. We will have marshalls here but please make sure you are well on the left hand side when turning 5. You will then follow the same course you were going to follow and the same course as the Middle Distance Triathlon to BURKE ROAD. 6. Here you will turn around and follow the same course back. 7. When returning to the END OF PENGLASE STREET AND THE CORNER OF KOONDROOK WEST ROAD, you will turn around again and complete the same loop (essentially riding the road twice). 8. When coming back for the second time you will turn LEFT and go across GRIGG ROAD, back to the transition area to complete the ride. We apologise for the late change and essentially the double loop, but we feel this is the far better option than crossing the dirt road/roadworks. Please let us know if you have any questions.
