14.05.2022 With all the flooding happening in the area I thought I'd take the opportunity to donate to local charities for flood relief, I will be donating 10% of all orders placed until the 6/04/2022. 11.05.2022 A beautiful photo captured on a slide that over time had some serious discolouration. Step 1. Capture the image onto digital - handling with extreme care - I use soft cotton gloves for handling any and all photo's, slides and negatives (and when repairing tapes) Step 2. A digital sweep through removing any dust and hairs that have managed to make their way onto the photo - I do this digitally as this ensures no damage is done to the physical image. This process evolves zoomin...g in close to the image and manually removing the blemishes from the image Step 3. Remove any jpg artefacts and fix any minor damage that appear on the image. Much like the dust and hair removal this process involves zooming in and manually correcting the image, repairs are completed at this same level as this ensures the quality remains once the image is taken to a full scale. Step 4. Colour adjustments, correcting levels and applying filters as needed to bring life back into the photo, this is where a lot of the "wow" factor comes from as this takes for example the red tint out of the image and allows me to add a pop to the original colours in the image. Optional Step 5. Image upscaling and HDR upscaling - these services aren't for every image but are available upon request as the results can vary and aren't always worth it.
