23.01.2022 Tri-cone Lap-Steel Resonator slide guitar. This instrument is a mix of ergonomics, function and sculpture. It has immense projection and a lush rich voice. It's one of two only. Check out the lap-steel page https://www.smalldrumrevolution.com.au/lap-steel-guitars

20.01.2022 This is a Tri-cone Resonator Lap-Steel guitar I designed and hand-built. The design hinges entirely around the ergonomic considerations of a lap instrument. It has a 50/50 weight distribution, making it sit well on your lap and allowing for a significant amount of mass in the headstock. Uniquely it has two independent aircraft-grade plywood circular backs which are unbraced and recessed into the body behind cover plates. Because no energy is lost by the backs touching the le...g of the player, this guitar has fantastic tone and huge projection. The backs have been fine-tuned to the chord of the open strings using pairs of rare earth magnets (one inside, one out) placed on the node points. The square neck is in two parts which also make up the body and become the headstock. The neck acts as another place to safely hold the instrument and is a beautiful feature whilst the underside sits just right on your legs. It has a peened brass tailpiece, a red-gum fretboard and a hand made cover-plate of 3mm ply. It’s one of 2 and is up for sale www.smalldrumrevolution.com.au
