25.01.2022 Weve finally been able to reel in this 2019 @trutta_wines Shiraz after trying for some time. The Harcourt product is a complex light red thats perfect for sunny days. And its great value. Catch it while you can.

25.01.2022 Theres a lot to love about this Chardonnay, a 2017 release from Giaconda in Beechworth. A classic vintage produces classic flavours - white peach, waxy lemon peel, minerals, etc - alongside a zesty finish. Stop by or see website in bio for delivery options. Side note: unlikely to come with a freaky reflection like the one near the upper left of this bottle.

24.01.2022 Its Pinot Noir Day, so were featuring this top drop from Tassies @pjdredge. And we look forward to the celebration continuing. While we have a few of these delicious 2018 Pinots in store, we eagerly await the imminent arrival of the 2019 editions, including the fantastic fun juice, Pet Nat. Its a Pinot party!

24.01.2022 @domainegiachinos Giac Potes - French for hiding among the plants - is a revelation. A blend of gamy and mondeuse from the beautiful alpine slopes of Savoie, the 2018 release is an organic, lo-fi, beautifully made wine. Its light, bright, and crunchy. Add it to your collection.

23.01.2022 I love to have a beer thats Duncans, cause Duncans is great. This sour from @duncansbrewing is a feast for the palate. Dessert style, its brewed with lactose, sugar, and vanilla, so theres a distinct sweetness that mingles with the upfront passionfruit flavour and clean citrus finish. And this combination is dangerously easy to put away! Solid.

22.01.2022 Its magic Monday with Adelaide Hills Prancing Pony Brewery and its recurring seasonal release. Magic Carpet Ride imperial stout delivers a super enjoyable journey for the tastebuds. Its rich, hearty, slightly sweet, and so smooth. Hop on board while you can. Credit: @daves_year_of_beer

22.01.2022 UPDATE: Some regular customers have been asking if we're still open during stage 4 lockdown and if they are able to venture into the shop to browse. So, to clarify for all, the answer to both queries is yes - at least for now! We obviously ask that you adhere to social distancing, etc. Upon entry, we have hand sanitiser available from the popular 2020 vintage. Alternatively, we offer free local delivery on orders over $50 if you prefer to stay snug and safe indoors (who even wants to go out in this weather?). Or you can click-and-collect if thats your thing. For more info, see our website (details in bio). Well keep you updated if anything changes. Thanks for the support. Stay safe, all.

20.01.2022 A great pic and review by @immaturewine of the @pittnauer_winery 2018 red blend purchased in store. We loved this one, too! From Burgenland, Austria, this juicy dark ruby red blend was easy to enjoy with its sweet ripe cherry and blackcurrant taste. This is a GREAT bottle for those who dont enjoy strong tannins (the aftertaste of wine) because of its quick and juicy finish. You can feel the balanced acidity dancing around, making it an all around winner of a bottle to open on any day of the week (in my case it was a Saturday )

19.01.2022 Another new arrival! This one is courtesy of Chur Brewing Company, or Behemoth Brewing Company as its known in its native NZ. Heres Churly recently claimed the annual Malthouse West Coast IPA Challenge across the ditch, and it absolutely nails the style. Get your hands on this tasty treat while its still here.

19.01.2022 @cobawridge’s ‘Il pinko’ is biodynamic brilliance. One of Australia’s leading rosés, this Macedon product is made from syrah and matured in old French oak barrels and qvevri (large terracotta egg-shaped pots used in many Georgian ‘orange’-style wines). The end product is a complex, mineral-driven, and dry wine. Grab it before we do. Again.

18.01.2022 We recommend you get your hands on this @svenjoschkewine Grenache while you can. We sold out of the Barossa Valley winemaker’s Sangiovese in a flash and expect this highly gluggable wine to follow suit. So good. Bonus tip: it can take a bit of chill.

18.01.2022 Always one for imaginative beer names and interesting brews, Moondog Brewery is at it again with this new release. Ogden Nash's Pash Rash raspberry candy imperial stout delivers hefty aromatics and rich sweet flavours that are every bit as attention-grabbing as the tin. And its just arrived in store, so grab it before it disappears Credit @slybeer

18.01.2022 We have a truckload of new releases from Kiwi master brewers, @garageproject. And just in time for the weekend! You know theyll be good...

17.01.2022 This is just the tonic for a Monday, or any day really. In fact, this Tonic Wines 2019 Grenache is simply outstanding. The small-batch SA-based producers have created a moorish wine with tastes of red fruit, spice, and orange rind, steering away from the sweet, confected versions sometimes associated with the style. Brilliance.

16.01.2022 Wow, this is a really flavoursome, beyond-typical IPA from Thornbridge Brewery. Jaipur boasts plenty of lemongrass, some honey sweetness, and citrus zest. Its hoppy and complex, yet refreshing. Jaipurfect.

16.01.2022 This sour from Reservoirs Future mountain brewing and blending is bang on. Aged in oak barrels and featuring Morello cherries, Fortune Telling Lady predictably pours a dazzling red colour with the aromatics and flavours revealing more of the featured stone fruit. This is vibrant, mildly tart, excellently balanced, and a superb Sunday sipper. And its one of a handful of flavoursome Future Mountain brews we have in store.

14.01.2022 Spring may have sprung, officially at least, but were still working our way through some tasty winter beers. This Choc-Coconut Porter is a crafty concoction from @rockyridgebrewing. It comes from a far, far away place called Western Australia where people roam freely, even attend football matches, and rarely sport face coverings. And they clearly know how to create a tasty, balanced brew that delivers what it promises. Sample this and several other Rocky Ridge beers that we have in store.

14.01.2022 Rolling into the weekend with a 2017 Rosi Schuster Blaufrankisch from Burgenland, Austria. This is a perfect medium-bodied spring red. Fleshy dark and blue fruits appear alongside some silkiness, balanced with spicy, earthy notes. Yum.

14.01.2022 Not just a pretty label. From SAs Clare Valley comes this 2019 Arneis from Adelina Wines. Eternal Run boasts citrus, almond, and floral notes and is really well-balanced. Could drink it all day.

14.01.2022 Heres one we prepared a little earlier: @jerichowines 2018 S3 Shiraz from McLaren Vale. Deep and dark, it delivers plenty of plum, spice, and vanilla as well as sprinkles of herb and liquorice. Delicious.

13.01.2022 With the weekend weather forecast looking a bit average, an above-average Shiraz might be just the ticket. And this 2015 variety from Sunburys Craiglee Vineyard absolutely fits the brief. Its refined and marvellous, and if it were French its price tag would be likely doubled. In store or delivery available.

12.01.2022 Theres no fence-sitting here - were big fans of Clare Valleys Grosset Wines. And among the organic goodies is a couple of ripping Rieslings. Springvale is lime driven with mineral notes while Polish Hill delivers lemon rind and lime pith flavours. Both are dry and perfectly palate pleasing, particularly when given time to breathe.

12.01.2022 With the weekend forecast promising hints of spring, its looking good for a crisp Chardonnay. This 2018 release by Polperro /Even Keel is a solid pick. Expect peach and melon flavours, a touch of oak, and some restrained richness from this well-rounded wine. Come in for the Keel.

11.01.2022 Yarra Valleys @serratwines is a project of @yabby_lake winemaker Tom Carson, and its 2017 Chardonnay is a star. Citrus, stonefruits, and minerals tempt the tastebuds and help create a complex, creamy wine.

10.01.2022 With sunnier days creeping into the forecast, were turning to crisp, fruity wines like this one. @crawford_river_wines 2018 Young Vines Riesling is a classic with citrus, stonefruit, and mineral notes shining through. Stop by if youre nearby or head online for delivery options (see bio).

10.01.2022 Not much good has come from 2020 but this Pinot Gris from Punt Road Wines Airlie Bank label defies the trend. Called Gris on Skins, its an excellent winter drop; fragrant, juicy, and quaffable. Hot tip: best served not too chilled to maximise that fleshy feel. Available in store or online.

09.01.2022 Its back. Garage Project and Other Half Brewing Companys No Dreams Til Brooklyn oat cream IPA was such a hit the first time around that the master brewing pairing decided to brew it again. Its a beast of a beer, so dont miss this second run. And plenty more Garage Project releases are in store, too.

09.01.2022 This colourful duo is the work of Express Winemakers in WAs Great Southern region, which has a distinct focus on creativity and minimal intervention. These 2020 releases feature grapes bursting with flavour, picked early for freshness. Foamo Pet Nat includes Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Noir, and Pinot Gris fermented on skins for a couple of days. With Lorange, organic Riesling and Sémillon were basket pressed with six days on skins before settling into mature barrels and ceramic egg. Theyre young, bold, tasty, and superbly suited to spring.

09.01.2022 All roads lead to Eldorado. These two 2017 reds from Beechworth-based @eldoradoroad make a delicious duo. The Durif comes from an excellent vintage and dishes up flavours of red berries, minerals, tar, and cloves. Meanwhile, the Nero DAvola is elegant and complex, if you give it time in the glass, and is ready to drink now. Head on in or see website in bio for delivery options.

09.01.2022 Here’s a couple of quality brews that have your name written all over them, especially you, Patsy. Torquay’s @blackmansbrewery has delivered the goods again with this sour-IPA duo. Add them to your weekend drinks list.

08.01.2022 This 2017 Cabernet Franc from Yarra Valley-based @denton_wines has shed-loads of flavour: blackberries, herb, a touch of black olive, and soft tannins. Its bright and fresh and a steal at the price. D for delicious.

08.01.2022 Another eye-catching label from Clare Valleys Adelina Wines, and whats inside is just as attention-grabbing. This 2019 Cab Sauv-Cab Franc blend delivers a mix of fresh red and dense black fruits, as well as chocolate and mint flavours. Its an absolute treat.

08.01.2022 This little piggy is quite the tasty wine. Piggy Pop - previously known as Heavy Petting - is Master Of Wine @timwildmans fun fizz. 100% Nero dAvola, its creamy with blueberries, cherries, and liquorice to taste. Grab this real wild child before it runs out the door: takeaways or delivery available.

08.01.2022 When its time to splash out...@yeringbergs 2015 Cabernet Sauvignon is a wine with elegance, depth, and structure from a superb vintage. And it will keep for years for the more patient among us. Quality.

07.01.2022 Possibly the best view were going to enjoy this weekend. #lockdownlife Pictured is a 2016 Pinot Noir from cult producer, Kusuda, based in Martinborough, NZ. Stay safe, drink well.

06.01.2022 Well, this is lovely. Spinifex Wines hails from a little-known wine region called the Barossa and combines a husband-and-wife winemaking team with Aussie and French origins. Papillon - French for butterfly - is an energetic 2019 Grenache/Cinsault blend. Its easy drinking and light on its feet yet juicy and with depth of flavour. Highly recommended.

05.01.2022 Were loving the @serratwines, this one a 2017 Shiraz Viognier. The Yarra Valley wine is complex yet approachable and perfect for a chilly weekend ahead.

05.01.2022 While the name of this Pinot Noir from Yarra Valley’s @dentonwine sums up how most of us are feeling about this year, the contents demonstrate that some good things have come of 2020. This is juicy and fun and a perfect picnic glugger. And seriously 2020, Why the Fiasco?

04.01.2022 These new arrivals from @giovanniarmanigiorgio are perfect for this burst of warm weather we’re enjoying. Italian by style, South Australian by birth. And tasty by definition.

02.01.2022 This Apricot Kveik IIPA from @tallboyandmoose is a delicious heavy hitter. Thunder Hammer bashes out the apricot goodness and despite carrying some weight, it nails the balance. This is one of a handful of new releases we have stocked from these Preston brewers, so stop by for some fresh beers. Cheers to the weekend.

02.01.2022 These sweet treats from @wolfofthewillows have just landed in store. Kanelbulle is a Swedish Cinnamon Bun Nitro Brown Ale, and its seriously delicious. Grab them while theyre hot.
