07.01.2022 Payment Summaries Are No Longer! Please check in with your staff to see if they have set up their myGov account. They should do this as soon as possible if it hasn't been set up already. As business across Australia are now reporting each pay event via STP, they are no longer required to prepare and email staff Payment Summaries. Every employee is required to set up a myGov account whereby they will be able to access their Income Statement. The Income Statement will indicate the year to date salary and wages, the PAYGW withheld and the reported amounts of employer super and will be ready to use in the tax return once the payroll has been marked as 'Tax Ready'.

01.01.2022 Business growth doesnt need to mean more risk, more hours and more headaches. To be successful, start by identifying the opportunities for growth in your business and industry. Then you and your team can take the first step to achieving it. 1. Do an audit to document your growth over time. Analyse all the information you have to understand how you got to where you are right now. This will help you to plan for future growth. 2. Put a one page plan together with the big objectives and what youll realistically need to do in order to achieve them. (identify the tasks and people) 3. Establish some key performance indicators to keep the momentum up and visit these regularly to ensure youre on track. Business growth can be perceived as something scary, but when you have a plan and its done right, it can be empowering and rewarding.
