We all find surveys tedious, but your input will provide powerful information for future planning and funding. This is a state-wide survey, so wherever you live in W.A. please take the time to complete this online survey NOW before the 30th May. It will only take you 5 minutes. Please Share to all of your W.A. Friends https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/BRMPRV3 Findings will highlight areas where wild rabbits and feral pigs are an issue. 19.01.2022 REKO ring takes the classic model of a farmers market and moves the advertising and transacting to Facebook. The money changes hands (often digitally) through the grower's preferred payment method. Economies of scale and financial efficiency can be achieved through the effective elimination of the middle man. A Dummies guide to Reko will be presented by Mathew Kavalam as part of the Food Forest visit on Saturday 21st November 2020. Please contact Adrian Williams via email on [email protected] for bookings.

04.01.2022 GOOD NEWS Blackwood Valley Small Landholders Group resurgence! People come into small rural land ownership under a range of scenarios, including looking for an improved lifestyle, creating a more peaceful and sustainable existence, developing a commercial enterprise, as a family inheritance, and so on. As land owners we have a range of mandatory responsibilities in managing and maintaining the land according to shire and government requirements. This includes things such as... bushfire prevention and awareness, declared pest control, fencing and stock security, protection of native vegetation and waterways, and other topics. Fortunately, support is available to landholders in the form of the Blackwood Valley Small Landholders Group. This group has an extensive history in the local area and more widely in the South West of WA, and is currently undergoing a resurgence and re-establishment. The aim of the group is to provide support to its members to achieve their goals. This is mainly achieved by facilitating regular workshops and events where members can network and socialise, meet like-minded people, and learn new knowledge and skills related to a small landholding and achieving their land use goals. We have a website and Facebook page for information and advertising events. These are currently being upgraded. An annual general meeting is planned for Saturday 27th October. See our advert for details. We welcome people to attend this event and become active members of the group. Individual membership is currently $20, with an extra $5 for each additional member from a property.
