16.01.2022 OUT WITH THE OLD, IN WITH THE NEW.. switchboard style! People are currently renovating their homes for looks.. but what about renovating for safety? ... Consider having old porcelain fuses replaced with new mini circuit breakers and safety switches! Here’s why: Isolates the power within 30 milliseconds if someone touches live wires or a faulty appliance; preventing electric shock or worse! Safety switches are required by law on all new houses and additions. Call for more information!

15.01.2022 SMOKE DETECTORS Do you know the recommendations regarding replacements? Wired-in smoke detectors at least every 10 years. Battery-only smoke detectors at least every 5 years.... Each time you set your clock for the start of daylight savings, you should change the back-up battery in you smoke detectors; for both battery-only and wired-in units! Only use good quality batteries! Some cheaper ones can leak and damage the detector, compromising it’s efficiency. We’re coming in to Winter, so test your smoke detectors by pushing the test button! If in doubt, change it! It could be a life-saving check!
