23.01.2022 Update entry list for XRS Round 3 at Whalan.

21.01.2022 Unfortunately due to the storm that has just hit we will be unable to dry the track in time to run today. We will however reassess the conditions and maybe be able to run tomorrow (Friday) instead. I will let you all know in the morning how we stand.... Tony.

18.01.2022 Racing this week at SMA. Again, we will be running on Wednesday night. We hope to see this as our regular race night from now on (obviously subject to weather conditions). So you have 3 nights to get those cars ready for another big night out.... Usual classes being 21.5, 13.5, Mod and VTA/Trucks. Gates open at 5pm with racing to start at 7.15pm. See you there.

18.01.2022 Track update Friday 8th January. Even though we had rain overnight the track has held up quite well (nothing a little sunshine and wind will not fix). Gates will be open from 1pm today for timed practice. All we ask is that if you intend to come please message us (on this post to let us know).... Hopefully see you at the track. Tony

17.01.2022 Ladies and gentlemen, Through the use of cutting edge technologies (and cheap labour) we have miraculously been able to get the track dry (for the 3rd time today). I will be here till later if anyone is still keen for a drive. The forecast says we should be ok from here on (but who knows).... Either way we’re open and ready. 15.01.2022 Evening all, SMA will be open tomorrow from 10am until 4pm for timed practice. This is an ideal time to get familiar with the current layout we will be running on Tuesday night. Please present yourself to race control prior to setting up. Entry will be $5 and you will be required to log into our Covid management plan via our QR code.... See you there.

14.01.2022 Track update. Racing this week will be on Wednesday night as quite a few SMA crew ran the XRS race meet in Sunday (and will need time to regroup). Gates open at 5pm with racing to start at 7.15.... Hopefully see you at the track. Tony

14.01.2022 XRS round 2 @ SMA. What a start to the day. No wind and sunshine. Pits are filling up quickly (with adequate social distancing). Cars in track for practice in 30 minutes.

14.01.2022 Sorry all, We’ve just been hit with another downpour. Unfortunately the track just won’t dry enough today to make it safe. We will monitor the weather and will open at sometime over the weekend.... I’ll keep you posted. Tony

12.01.2022 2020 XRS Round 3 entry updates of of 16/10/2020. SMA members. If you haven't already entered then now is the time to do so. We need to support the club that supported our event last week.

12.01.2022 So, after 9 months of uncertainty we have finally been able to run the Round 2 of XRS at SMA. Being greeted with a gorgeous day of sunshine and no pesky breeze we were off to a good start. Starting with 3 rounds of controlled practice to start the day (giving everyone a chance to not only learn the layout but for some remembering how to drive) and then moving into the business end of the race meet.... Three qualifiers followed by three mains for all classes meant we were finally back into a full blown race program. The standout of the day was the first 21.5 A Main final. With 7 lead changes and 4 different manufacturers represented it was worth watching (maybe a few others could learn from this display of driving). So thats a wrap on Round 2 of the 2020 XRS. Congrats to the podium placers in each class. 21.5 1st Hayden Smith (Xray) 2nd Brendan George (Yokomo) 3rd Rob Wright (Express) 13.5 1st Christian Silva (Xray) 2nd Pete Wong (Yokomo) 3rd Chris Peet (Xray) Modified 1st Jeffrey Mackie (ARC) 2nd John Puse (Yokomo) 3rd Ari Bakla (Xray) Dont forget, next round (3) is at Whalan Reserve on the 25th October (to be run by Castle Hill club).
