11.01.2022 In my early 20s I met a women, older then me she was around 60, I was drawn to her because she told a fucking good story, I could drink red with her and laugh a...ll night. She lived in a shitty area.. I lived in a shitty area too but she lived in a really dangerous area. To be honest I felt kind of sorry for her, she worked in a very underpaid industry, was living on barely anything and while I hadn’t gone inside her house it was one of those small brown brick duplex’s that just kind of made me feel sad, I was living in a shit hole at the time so I suppose it was all relative. One day, I was driving through the area and so I decided to surprise her. I knocked and called out and she was around the back and called for me to just come around the side gate... I opened the gate and walked into her back yard... And I was blown away. The women had created paradise.. there was running water and mist blowing and lush vines growing on every wall, birds singing, everything was recycled, decks with bright cushions, there was music on and incense burning and she was knee deep in soil, working in her veggie patch. I felt uplifted, inspired, calm. It was amazing what this women did with this small area by taking pride in it, making it here. She didn’t need my sympathy, I needed hers. I went home and made a plan to beautify my home. She even helped me. I’ve moved a few times since then but I always think about her and her home. Last week I was feeling flat and so I added some me to my home and I was uplifted instantly. It doesn’t matter where you live or how you live, that woman would have made a caravan look like heaven. Your surroundings will change your moods and all Queens deserve their palace
