The older style halogen globes and transformers were intermittently turning off and on, or failing all together. Weve upgraded them to the Boss Illumination Delta 10W downlights. The Delta downlights have a modern low profile and high lumen output. 17.01.2022 Its not every day we get asked to fix sub standard electrical work, but todays hot water system replacement was exactly that! The old unit had been wired with a cable that was not large enough to support the high current of the system. Not only is this illegal its also dangerous. ... The work in question was brought to our attention by our friends at Hamilton Plumbing & Gas Pty Ltd. Thankfully the old unit along with its dodgy wiring has been replaced by a fresh new storage system (supplied & installed by HamiltonPlumbing & Gas), powered by the correct size cable and Clipsal RCD. 12.01.2022 We had another switchboard emergency call out late last night. The occupants were very lucky they were awake when their light circuit tripped causing them to check their switchboard. They got to switchboard to find it smoking and crackling. The fire was beginning to spread through the asbestos panel. We were able to fit it with a new RCD and provide a recommendation of a switchboard upgrade.
