13.01.2022 All dogs are susceptible to heatstroke. It is a serious & life threatening condition. Dogs that are obese, old, have long or dark fur, large breeds & Brachycephalic breeds (short nose/flat face) are even more susceptible. 04.01.2022 Heatstroke occurs when a dog’s normal body mechanisms cannot keep the body’s temperature within a safe range. Dogs do not sweat, which means they don’t have the efficient cooling system the human body does. Please exercise caution in the summer heat to avoid heatstroke.
