24.01.2022 Our #CarltonNorth clients had a love of natural finishes and clever design which our designer Vanessa made sure to incorporate in the renovation of this kitchen + bathroom. The bathroom was completed prior to the kitchen in 2016 so it was important for the two areas to "sing". In the kitchen bespoke natural timber wall cabinetry personalizes the kitchen and the handmade wall tiles softens the overall look and feel of the kitchen. In the bathroom a day-spa like feel was created with the freestanding stone bath and basin, large natural travertine wall and floor tiles, and matt black tapware and accessories. 22.01.2022 The major design challenge in this #CliftonHill kitchen was to work their existing reclaimed timber dining table and an uneven long wall that made the room narrower as well as a solid double brick wall on the rear of the property that made reshaping of the space more difficult. Our design team were able to re-orientate the clients dining table to run long which complemented the small island, cleverly "smoothed over" the long wall with timber veneer cabinetry that provided dee...per pantry space as well as warmth to a monochromatic space and were able to re-shape the kitchen from an U-shape to an L-shape to create space and provide a smoother uninterrupted flow in the kitchen. 21.01.2022 A growing family in both numbers and years meant that the existing space in this #CliftonHill home was inadequate, and finishes were unsuitable. A complete rethink of how the kitchen and dining area worked was required as the traditional U-shape made the kitchen and dining area feel tight and cluttered, especially once people were in these spaces. Taking advantage of works occurring in the bathroom/laundry, space was taken from there which allowed the kitchen to be re-orien...ted to run in an L-shape taking advantage of the long side wall. The new layout provided circulation around the room, so it no longer felt like you were trapped, no matter where you were or how many people were there. The ensuite (pictured here) was the main focus of the renovation, the room needed to be a luxurious space where our client could reside to relax and unwind. The textures work together to compliment each other, from the rough bench top texture, to the timber finish over head units and gloss hand made tiled splash. Our design manager @vanjcook designed this space to accomodate a family who desired to bring the outside in, through the use of this beautiful textures and earthy tones we think she has done just that.
