15.01.2022 Yesterday we kicked off the 2016 Whaleshark season with an amazing day! We started off with spinner dolphins in the 100's, then an outer reef snorkel with turtl...es and a friendly Tawny Nurse shark, then to top it all off- the cutest circling whaleshark ever circling the groups for 57 minutes!!! The vibe was out of this world!!! See more

09.01.2022 The Ultimate Scorpionfish This is a lacy scorpionfish (Rhinopias aphanes). In fact its only the second one i have seen diving in this region since 1987. Unfort...unately for this psychedelic fish, its beauty makes it very desirable among aquarists the world over. In addition, it is so confident in its perfect camouflage that it simply doesn't try to hide in its natural environment and most divers just miss it. On this occasion It was next to a similar coloured feather star - i had to do a double take to make sure what i was looking was for real! Excited was a understatement. All of our divers on this day were escorted to see this rare beauty. Found and photographed by Jay Wink Abc Scuba Diving Port Douglas.
