25.01.2022 Whos a good boy !! Dont rely on your pets to wake you up if theres ever a fire at your house. Remember, only working smoke alarms save lives. If you don...t have a working smoke alarm installed in your home, and a fire occurs: You are 57 per cent more likely to suffer property loss and damage. You are 26 per cent more likely to suffer serious injuries. You are four times more likely to die See more

18.01.2022 Has your gas heater been serviced? Its not worth the risk.
16.01.2022 Before you fire up the heater to combat these chilly Autumn mornings.... Product recall: Target Australia Pty Ltd 11 Fin Column Oil Heater. This heater has ...a manufacturing defect may cause the heater control panel to overheat, melt or catch on fire. If you are using a heater over the cooler months: Always turn off all heating and extinguish open fires before leaving your home. If youre trying to dry the laundry, ensure it is at least 1 meter from the heater.
16.01.2022 Well thats definitely a great place to install it

11.01.2022 The following video is an example of why YOU need to have your wood heater chimney/flue inspected and cleaned yearly! Luckily in this case a chimney sweep/woodh...eater serviceman was passing the home and noticed the fire, allowing it to be extinguished before the home suffered any major damage. In 2017 CFA attended 121 chimney fires which is almost 10% of the preventable house fires CFA attended in Victoria. Many of these caused major damage or loss of the entire home. Chimney fires are caused by the accumulation of creosote. During normal use creosote builds up as a coating and when subjected to the normal heat from a fire it can eventually become thick enough to ignite with a very real potential of starting a fire. The very big risk with these fires is that they normally start in the roof space or wall cavity above smoke alarms, this means they can go undetected until they have grown to be substantial, causing major structural damage, the loss of your home or worse, lives. To prevent chimney fires we recommend all wood heater chimneys and flues are inspected and cleaned every 12 months by qualified personnel according to the manufacturers instructions. Note: Creosote is not only caused by general use, but it can also build up quicker if you are using incorrect fuels, such as green wood or treated timbers. Thanks to Ash from Chimaney Charoo for the video!
