" Muscu...lar Dystrophy Queensland empowers people living with muscular dystrophy and similar neuromuscular conditions to make the most of opportunities and fulfil their potential to live the lives they choose" In 1978 a group of families, concerned about the lack of assistance for their children, formed the Muscular Dystrophy Support Group. Without clinical or public recognition of the disorders the group began the challenging process of raising awareness, fundraising for equipment and services and supporting research that might one day find a cure. Today they build on the dedicated efforts of these early volunteers, working in line with their mission, towards a future where neuromuscular conditions no longer limit choice and control and people with muscular dystrophy and similar neuromuscular conditions are able to make the most of opportunities and fulfil their potential to live the lives they choose.

17.01.2022 Many of our lenders have announced their new serviceability rates which can be quite a bit lower then before. Previously, many lenders ensured borrowers could service their loan at a rate of 7.25 per cent, as a safeguard against future rate rises. Even though there have been several reductions in interest rates over the last couple of years this has not dropped until now. What does this mean for you?... If you are considering taking out a new loan or refinancing an existing loan, these changes are likely to improve your borrowing capacity. You may be able to borrow more than you could have previously. Of course, even if you can borrow more, it doesnt necessarily mean you should. You need to be comfortable with your repayments, and ensure they are in line with your budget and lifestyle. Remember that while rates are low at the moment, it is inevitable that they will rise at some point during your loan term. 12.01.2022 When the south moves, Queensland follows. NOW may be the time for you to move. House prices are showing upward trends while interest rates are showing a downward trend. Corelogic. Data released yesterday revealed an acceleration in the recovery of housing values across August, with Sydney and Melbourne charting the sharpest increases.... The CoreLogic August home value index results showed that national dwelling values increased by 0.8% over the month, the first monthly increase since October 2017. Our expectation has been that this recovery would be a slow and steady one, however, with housing credit restrictions easing and mortgage rates likely to reduce further, this rebound could potentially turn into a v-shaped recovery, said CoreLogic research director Tim Lawless, who elaborated on the strength of the August numbers for Sydney and Melbourne.

07.01.2022 The First Home Loan Deposit Scheme explained If you've saved 5% of the purchase price of your property the government will guarantee the remaining 15% of the deposit. You still need to borrow 95%, but you can avoid LMI. Your mortgage needs to be an owner-occupied loan with principal-and-interest repayments. Eligible first home buyers can't be earning more than $125,000 a year ($200,000 combined for couples).... Access to the scheme is limited to 10,000 borrowers. The value of eligible homes under the scheme varies by state and city/region (see below). The scheme starts on 1 January 2020. This scheme will make low deposit home loans cheaper. The scheme will be administered through the National Housing Finance and Investment Corporation (NHFIC) in partnership with lenders. In an announcement, the government said it would prioritise "smaller lenders to boost competition". We can expect more details about the scheme to be announced before it launches. This may be of benefit to you but it will be first in first served. Happy to discuss.
