Here are the key takeaways: - Capital values continue to climb in Sydney, with values up by 9.1% over the past 12 months. The last 3 months have recorded a massive 5.6% increase in values. Nevertheless, the rate of growth has halved since the peak in July last year (at 18.4%). Unit and house values are rising at a similar pace.... Other indicators are showing softer conditions ahead; - listing numbers are rising which may give buyers some leverage in the marketplace - The number of transactions has fallen by 19.5% over last 12 months - Properties are taking longer to sell than this time a year ago (40 days vs 26 days), although discounting hasnt moved higher just yet.
