22.01.2022 This is the story of two families who went away on holiday. Meet the Smiths and Jones. The Smith family have gone away for a holiday. A week in the sun, beautiful sandy beaches and great food. But when they came home, the joy of the holiday soon ended. The washing machine hose had burst and water had been running throughout the laundry to the hallway, to the family room and so on. What a mess. John turned the tap off and now starts the huge clean up, insurance calls etc...... On the other hand the Jones family also went away on holiday for a week in the sun, beautiful beaches and got in a spot of fishing. Their washing machine hose burst as well. But because they have a smart home their Fibaro flood sensor activated. Sending a signal to the z-wave controlled water valve turning off the water. Their smart home controller also sent a message notifying that the flood sensor had been activated and the water valve turned off. The next day while still enjoying their holiday Mr Jones phoned the appliance repair man and booked in a service job. From his phone Mr Jones was able to open the door for him and the job was completed. The Jones family arrived home refreshed and relaxed after their holiday. The end.
