22.01.2022 Smart Temp have developed and released the SMT-2W5 module - designed to save you time and money on jobs where you find that for what ever reason, you are a wire (or 5) short. This innovative device consists of two parts, a very small module that you can fit inside a thermostat and a relay module that you install at the equipment. Powering the relay module with 24VAC then provides power to your thermostat or other 24V device and also provides you with 5 switching outputs that... mimic the thermostat calls as read by the small sender module installed at the thermostat. The sender and receiver module uses your existing wiring and can be placed up to 80m apart. So, If you find some wires damaged by rodents ( or handymen with nail guns) or you simply don't have enough wires for what you need do, then the Smart Temp SMT-2W5 could be your low cost solution.
