25.01.2022 Today’s presentation to HR and L&D industry representatives at #HRTechFest New Zealand included a first look at our new software suite #APITM. Great feedback included support for our view of the criticality of customer led business cases for HR systems and processes which are supported by the whole business, the need to drive productivity while balancing costs and improving employee experience. Watch this space for the launch later in the year. The Eventful Group
24.01.2022 Delighted to share my thoughts on engagement. Surveys have long served as an important part of Australian organisations’ human resources (HR) and people strategies. It’s vital to check in with your team, find out what concerns they have and make sure they’re happy, engaged and contributing to the business in a meaningful way. However, many businesses fail to engage at all, or do the bare minimum with little follow-up or change after engagement is completed. This risks leaving employees feeling dejected and questioning why they should even participate in these exercises. Read the complete article published in The Australian

17.01.2022 Great opportunity for you to network and learn in a community of like minded people. Data privacy and data protection is a huge subject the HR community must address as a matter of urgency. The global impact of recent privacy regulatory changes across Europe and the USA , coupled with the Australian data breaches requirements can expose companies to reputational damage and severe penalties. HR has a traditional role as custodians of data and this event looks at some of the... major privacy and data management techniques and an expert panel shares their knowledge and experience. Issues for discussion include: HR’s data custodian responsibilities Interface between humans, technology, the law and ethics The data privacy landscape Minimising risk using technology Balancing management expectations The session will be interactive and give attendees the opportunity to learn from their peers and to share concerns. The session will be facilitated by Marc Dalmulder with special guest Andrea Calleia, Privacy Learning Manager from Salinger Privacy, along with with two expert panel members from AHRI’s Technology Advisory Panel, Rob Scott and Marc Havercroft (FCPHR). 10.01.2022 Reflections from a few days in s p a c e this week. Amazing conference where we went off line to collaborate and learn more about our selves and how together we might be able to address some of the bigger issues that confront us in Australia. The biggest takes outs for me: - the voice of our nation goes back some 60000 years, - everyone has an important story to tell, - it's OK to be yourself, ... - change begins from within, and - the way we have done things isn't necessarily the way of the future. Great event. Looking forward to seeing the event wrap up and being at s p a c e 2020
