25.01.2022 Introducing a few of our newbies - welcome to 9 w o Gi-Li (Golden Retriever), 4 m o Alfie (Cavoodle); 7 m o Charlie (Cavoodle) & 11 m o Remy (Labradoodle). Toddler, Kinder Kid, Child & Adolescent. The four early stages of a dog’s life all represented here. Each of these young dogs have learnt to get what they want by using their teeth...in our lessons we have been demonstrating to them a more desirable way to behave - consistency, trust and respect. In all of these cases, being firm is a form of love. I can’t let you do that means I want to keep you safe, I want you to stay, I want to enjoy you and for you to be part of our family. It takes time to build a new relationship between a human and a dog, just like it does between humans. Have faith everyone, slowly but surely we will get there.

24.01.2022 The power of the boundary - back door open. As if looking cute is going to get you through that door, boys!

20.01.2022 If you have a reactive dog, I'd LEAP at this chance for 4 x 45 minutes of FREE tuition. Mark Leonard was my mentor when I did my dog trainer & instructor course. He is a senior trainer who has extensive experience with dogs who are reactive or show aggressive behaviour. He's also an all round really nice guy.

13.01.2022 Alfie the Cavoodle pup, smashing his On Your Bed command. Why? Because his mum wouldn’t take no for an answer. And believe me, Alfie can be extremely persistent! She writes just now: On your bed working a treat! He was bitey and annoying and got in and stayed in the bed after four goes - what a champ!

10.01.2022 If you are local to Macleod...Joshua Curtin writes: DOG WALKING & CARE SERVICE Hi I’m Joshua due to the COVID-19 many people are spending significantly more time at home. For many of us, animals have helped us to cope with the situation both in terms of providing company and exercise, while the increased time with their owners has also benefited many pets. However, things won’t be like this forever and normal routines will return, which for some pets means spending more ti...me alone which can produce anxiety and lead to excessive hyperactivity and destructive behaviours. I’m passionate and reliable dog lover, who dedicated to dogs of all kinds, shapes and sizes. Private walks are entirely tailored to your dog’s needs, so they get the most out of their session no matter their age, size, health, or temperament. We visit puppies who need company, feeding and/or walking through the day but aren't yet up to a walk. I exercise ball-obsessed dogs who are keener on playing fetch than playing with other dogs and we provide gentle walks for elderly dogs. I always carry cool and fresh water to ensure the dogs stay hydrated. I make sure their water bowl is full, the key and lead are placed back where I found them, locking gates and doors behind us. walk rates: $15 = 30 min $20 = 45 min Visit rates: $15 = top ups of food and water (this can only happen only once on a weekday after 4:00 , and as Meany times on a weekend) $25 = 20 min playtime + top up of food and water (this can only happen once on a weekday after 4:00pm, and as many times on the weekend) For any walk, collars and lead should be provide, water will be bought for the dogs as well as a little treat: ) For visits, food and a water source should be provided Message me via messenger or message me at +61421099949 See more

09.01.2022 Does your dog growl or even try to bite you when you try to take food or a toy from them, or get them off the couch or bed? Do they try to guard you by barking or growling when someone approaches or block you off? Do you have two dogs who fight over their food bowls? This is called Resource Guarding. Resource Guarding is an instinctive canine behaviour, but one which you need to diminish significant at least and eliminate at best if your dog is to be a relaxed and safe family member. Here are my dogs Billy and Charlie demonstrating a respectful, trusting relationship with me, while eating their bones. Please DON’T try this at home without guidance, unless you know you can do it safely.

06.01.2022 Pot plant dogs. The beauty of having a well trained dog who trusts and respects you enough to sit still EVERY time you ask, for as LONG as you ask, no matter WHAT is going on. It also is makes for a great photo opportunity!

02.01.2022 Socialisation is not just about your dog meeting other dogs. It’s also about your dog getting used to our human world - unusual objects and surfaces, the sound your paws make when they step on metal, staying relaxed even though the ground is suddenly sloping. A strong leadership relationship means your dog will trust you even when they are faced with something unfamiliar. How do you get a relationship like this? Time, persistence, passion for your dog to have a great life - and training
