It was perfect weather for a walk/ ride to Hatchery Bay plenty of laughs were had, followed by beautiful nibblies & some well earned beverages #teamgoals #alittlebitsunburnt #teamworkmakesthedreamwork

22.01.2022 ALWAYS WAS, ALWAYS WILL BE NAIDOC week celebrations have been at the fore of our educational program this week. We acknowledge the nations first people and create an awareness within our Early Childhood setting. Indigenous people have cared for our land for over 65,000 years. Our amazing educators have implemented a range of activities for our children - making wattle seed damper - painting activities where children have used natural elements - creating native bush animals... using natural bush resources - Dreamtime stories - Tiddalick the Frog - Tapping stick music activities - Discussions surrounding Indigenous culture, exploring bush tucker, bogong moths and acknowledging the Ngarigo people. 01.01.2022 Our annual Zoo trip to Canberra thrilled our school leavers and left is all with some fantastic memories Many firsts for most of our children today - first bus ride, first time at a zoo. Lots of discussions about species, breeds, habitats and coexistence. We were so lucky to get a close up view of Mr Giraffe eating his lunch which then provoked a discussion about his food and his amazing long blue tongue. Class of 2020 you are amazing and so ready for Kindergarten 2021 A massive shout out to our SMCELC team who go above and beyond to make this day happen for our children. Also Thankyou to Molly for shouting us all an icy pole at the playground !!
