21.01.2022 I love getting feedback from customers like this, reminds me why Im in the Solar industry. A $27 power bill is outstanding, as you can see in the picture 339 units was imported and a whopping 1859 units exported. What your Synergy bill doesnt show you though, is how much of the solar produced was consumed, as all that happens behind the meter. With Froniuss superb monitoring app and a Fronius Smart Meter installed, its easy to see. Simply go to the reports tab(supervisors... only), generate a manual report and enter the custom date range to match the Synergy bill, and compare. The total consumption of the house was 777 units, 438 from the solar and 339 from the grid. 56% self-sufficiency is a good result. If the customer had no solar(which means no export as well) and had to pay for the full consumption of 777 units, with the service charge and GST the bill would have been $286.08. Thats right, a saving of 90.5%. Awesome. See more

19.01.2022 Do you have a roof that is not the ideal orientation, or want to hide the panels from the street, or maybe even avoid shading issues? With Radiant tripods, not a problem. With these beauties you can reverse tilt the panels on any roof, proving orientation is no barrier. This job the client didn't want any panels facing the street, and had significant shading from a neighbours tree on the north side, which only left the south facing roof. Using Radiant tripods with a 45 deg lift back leg, we lifted them up from 20 deg pitch facing south, to 25 deg facing North. Backed by a 15 year warranty on the Radiant gear, and 25 year product warranty on the 315W REC TP2 panels, with a 10 year workmanship warranty, this install will be there for years to come.

15.01.2022 Enphase microinverters. SAFER. The safest way to fix a problem is by elimination, with Enphase inverters there is no high voltage DC, therefore eliminating high voltage DC wiring through the roof and associated problems with rooftop DC isolators catching fire. 03.01.2022 Latest job installed on a very steep roof (36deg) on a residential house in Bayswater. 34 x 315W REC TP2 mono's making for 10.7kW connected to an 8.2kW Fronius Symo, producing 15,700kWh of power annually that's Fair Dinkum Power. Carbon emmissions reduced by 12.2t annually as well this customer is doing his bit to meet Australia's Paris Climate agreement. The job involved a full static line installed along the ridge, with anchor points and strop lines as well. Installed and certified by the great people at Saferight, made our job a lot easier to get the panels up there and clamped down.

03.01.2022 Enphase microinverters, MORE POWER. Great for heavily shaded roofs. Having an inverter under every panel working independently from each other, they don't suffer from the constraints of DC string systems. 02.01.2022 There is no substitute for a 0 deg azimuth. This recent job completed in Scarborough with bang on North facing panels getting some pretty good production figures from the REC N Peaks for early August, 35kWh on a nice sunny Winters day. Can't wait to see it in Summer. On track for about 3.5yr payback time, and 15t of CO2 savings.

02.01.2022 Another job completed in Carine, first in WA to use the new 300W REC Twin Peak 2 Multicrystalline panels, 22 making 6.6kW, just right to squeeze in under the 133% limit on a 5kW inverter. Installed by SMC you'll get a 25 year product warranty, why wouldn't you.
