The previously advertised early 2021 Epithermal Au-Ag and Porphyry Exploration Cu-Au Short Course presented by Greg Corbett and Stuart Hayward has now been postponed to September 13 to 15, 2021, immediately following Mines and Wines. Prof Peter Betts, Monash University, will be delivering his thought...-provoking talk ‘Changing the Geoscience narrative to improve the way we are perceived by the general public’. The meeting will start at 5.15 pm AEDT with Peter’s talk starting at 530 pm AEDT. Members and non-members are both welcome! Please use the link below to register. And, as usual, we urge you to go exploring through the veritable treasure trove that is the SMEDG website. Unfortunately the 2020 David Timms Christmas Harbour Cruise has had to be cancelled this year due to regulations (largely relating to limits on numbers) put in place in response to COVID-19.... The 2021 cruise is planned for Friday December 3, 2021. Remember the GeoHug meetings held on most Fridays - please keep an eye on their website for upcoming talks and to register.
