24.01.2022 Almost finished - three TV screens to go. Spent allllllll day writing pattern info. Snore. It would be a LOT more fun doing patterns if I could just draw the images and then use the force to implant the instructions in everyone's brain.

23.01.2022 Deb has been helping me stitch to save my poor hand. Look what awesomeness arrived in the post Friday!!!! Thanks Deb, you’re a legend. I still haven’t been able to finish one panel.

21.01.2022 This morning I had the privilege of watching the memorial service of a great man, husband to one of my friends (Melbourne covid lockdown laws mean we can't go to the funeral). At 55 years old Trev was too young. But what a testament the service was to the value of kindness, loyalty, faithfulness and servanthood - traits Trev packed into his life. It was such an inspiration to me, reminding me that serving and loving my family and friends and those in my circle is the real stuff of life. Our lives doesn't have to be loud and showy to make a difference. Quiet kindness is louder than words.

20.01.2022 I just came back from my first 'in person' retail shop since March!!!! There may have been spending. It was a WIERD feeling. And of the 4 hand sanitisers I was requested to use, I think Big W was the least stinky.

20.01.2022 The bad news- my hand still can't cope with stitching. I did an hour yesterday and it's aching today. Drives me nuts! I can draw, but as soon as I pull a needle through cloth it chucks a wobbly. The good news- Robyn has done a sensational job helping me out! Look at this stitching! Whoo hoo!!!!! Just for fun- any captions??? My effort: 'Doctor, of course they're sharp, they're embroidery scissors!'

17.01.2022 I got new fabric delivered today! Whoo hoo!! The 'Idiot Box' quilt is ready to rock and roll!!!! There are two styles to do; all in one colour (probably greys instead of reds this time so it's true b&w tv), the other in full colour. Something for me to do whilst supervising homeschooling for the next two months. Let's face it. We're going to be in lockdown forever... ... and my sewing machine just died. Decided going in reverse was optional, after I finished making just one mask.

17.01.2022 Today's drawing. Heheheeeee

15.01.2022 Bronwyn sent in her very cool version of the Extreme quilt- she made it a little longer for a king single bed. I like!!!

15.01.2022 Best/easiest DIY mask pattern?? (Gotta do something constructive with the next 5 weeks of lockdown.)Best/easiest DIY mask pattern?? (Gotta do something constructive with the next 5 weeks of lockdown.)

11.01.2022 What day is it? They're all blurring together in warp speed at the moment. I guess that's what happens when every day is at home. So! I am working on a new thing... awhile ago I finished off an appliqué design using stamps. I'm 2/3 of the way through it, but I feel it's just too much work, and people won't ever finish it. (This is before you have to do the actual stamp edges!) I've been thinking about transferring it to a stitchery, but I'm worried about those pesky stamp edges again. I'd stitch them, but is it a problem? I could change the design to just postcards, but for me that's not so interesting. Thoughts???

11.01.2022 Hi all! I'm very excited!!! First day of retail opening in Melbourne today! I can get my patterns printed again from today instead of having to do them on my printer at home. WHEEEEEEEEEEEE. Yep. I'm living the high life.

10.01.2022 Good afternoon all! The sun is shining, I've had my allowed 1 hr walk, and the rest of today is going to be spent clipping out these tags and figuring out how to arrange all 25 of the jolly things on an A4 pattern page front cover!!!!!!!!

07.01.2022 Despite the 'thunderstorms and freezing temperatures for seven straight days' weather forecasts, we've had clear skies, warm sun and lovely days 4 days in a row. Because, Melbourne. My prescribed hourly walk once a day has been to the local shops and back, where I can buy food and avoid larger crowds. I don't know whether to laugh or cry at those on the walking track who have their masks very diligently attached to their chins, with noses akimbo, but points for trying I guess?? Sigh... I have been binge-watching Netflix the last few days, as I managed to tweak my sore hand again last week- it got all puffy, and I got all sooky. But I'm feeling better emotionally, and hopefully will be able to do some stitching next week. Cross fingers (except the sore one). Hope everyone is safe and well out there, and able to create some cool things.

06.01.2022 World record! Ordered something in April. It has now arrived!!!! Only 5 months. Pffft! Makes me feel a little better about my tardy orders of late... well, not really... Please note, I've run out of Australian Afternoon fabric, and I have ONE Noah Wall Hanging fabric piece left. New stock is on its way; let's hope it arrives faster than 5 months!

06.01.2022 That fun moment when you realise you've sent out a pattern with rectangle spelt 'rec436Tangle'. Sigh. The joys of automatic 'find and replace' spelling program... Oh well. Weathergirl is looking spiffy.

05.01.2022 How's everyone going? Bit tired and emotional today. I may nap. How's everyone going? Bit tired and emotional today. I may nap.

05.01.2022 Well, it's been an interesting couple of weeks of lockdown in Melbourne, and it promises to be even more... interesting, dealing with the next 6 weeks of super-hibernation. Balancing my mental health while dealing with isolation and home-schooling has been tricky sometimes. I really miss family, friends and my church community. This is why you may not be getting your orders in a timely fashion. I've been drawing my way through each day. It's getting me through, but I haven't been attentive as I should be to orders. Thanks for your understanding.
