12.04.2022 Septic Tank installation completed by Michael for a rural property needing an upgrade to their existing system The hole was excavated, base levelled off with sand for strength and stability, the tank was then installed and back filled. The effluent disposal piping was also installed on the tank outlet underground as per the local councils requirements. The house sewerage system was then connected to the new tank after being disconnected from the old. ... We were also responsible for the organising of electrical connections for the tank, which made it one less thing for the owner to worry about as we were able to provide the complete service for them!

25.01.2022 ROCKS! We never know what we will find blocking our clients pipes, this time it was rocks! Our client contacted us with a sewer blockage issue, so we checked the pipes with our CCTV in pipe camera, and found these rocks lurking inside. We attempted to high pressure water jet blast it, but because they wouldn’t budge, we needed to locate the exact spot where the rocks were in the pipe underground, dig it up, cut out the old pipe and then install the new pipe in ...its place. CCTV In Pipe Camera Inspections, Service Locating and High Pressure Water Jet Blasting, just some of the many services we can provide you.

23.01.2022 Poor drainage can mean that when it rains for more than a day, water accumulates and you end up with a backyard full of puddles. This creates many problems as when water builds up; it can cause muddy lawns, kills plants and even undermine houses. Installing Agricultural pipes (ag-line), aggregate (crushed rock or gravel or concrete), drainage cloth (geo fabric), as all seen in this picture, can rectify this situation and will draw away excess water which means a puddle free backyard much sooner! Call SMICK Plumbing Services today to discuss your needs!

19.01.2022 Did you know that if you own a rental property and do not have a Water Efficiency Certificate, you could have to pay for the tenants’ water usage? From 31st January 2012 regulations were put in place to ensure all rental premises were water efficient with maximum flow rates of 9 litres per minute for all internal cold water taps & showerheads. If your rental property does not meet these standards, Call SMICK Plumbing Services to install water saving devices, rectify any leaks & issue a Water Efficiency Certificate to ensure you are not having to foot the bill for your tenants water usage!

Stayed tuned for more to come of this finished home soon, plus much more of what we’ve been up to! For all enquires, please call us on 0412 914 332

10.01.2022 Planning a bathroom renovation? Building a new house? Call SMICK Plumbing Services today to discuss any of your bathroom, kitchen or laundry needs!

09.01.2022 Need a new Hot Water System? Have you considered an Instantaneous System rather than a regular Storage System? An instantaneous system will only heat as much water as you need, when you need it. If you turn on the tap, cold water flows through a heat exchanger, igniting a gas burner or switching on an electric element. So there are no heat losses, and as long as there's gas or electricity, you'll never run out of hot water. Call SMICK Plumbing Services to discuss your needs!

02.01.2022 Have you checked your flexible water pipes lately??? Have you had them changed recently or know how old your current pipes are? Did you know, as a rule of thumb, these pipes which can be connected to toilets, vanities and kitchen sinks usually only last around 5 years?... When they go beyond their intended use, this can happen! A blown pipe can cause major damage to your home like it did at this job we visited recently. In this instance the vanity needed replacing, carpets throughout the bedroom were ruined and all the skirting boards were needing to be replaced too, costing a pretty penny! And it all can be avoided by changing your hoses every few years!
