25.01.2022 COVID-19 UPDATE Restrictions on orthodontic practice have now been eased by the government. Although some orthodontic procedures may not be performed, most routine appointments can proceed. Thus, for most patients, their orthodontic care can continue on a relatively normal basis. This includes new patients requiring an initial consultation. We extend a warm welcome to all new patients and advise all patients and their families that our operating hours remain largely unchange...d. We continue to ask patients who have tested positive to the virus, have been required to isolate, have symptoms or are generally unwell, and any patients over 70 years old, NOT to attend the surgery. All other patients are requested to attend the surgery if they have a scheduled appointment. Please ensure you adhere to social distancing requirements and limit attendees to patients only where possible. Where this is not possible, we ask that only one accompanying person attend with any patient. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us. We thank you for your understanding during this difficult time and extend our gratitude to all patients and their families for their understanding during the COVID-19 pandemic. We will continue to monitor and evaluate the evolving Coronavirus situation to ensure that we are taking all possible steps to protect the health and wellbeing of our patients & staff. STAY SAFE Be kind & thoughtful

13.01.2022 We wish to advise our patients that we have been closely monitoring and evaluating the situation with Coronavirus to ensure we are taking possible steps to protect the health and wellbeing of our patients and staff. We continue to uphold meticulous infection control procedures as would normally be the case. We ask patients who are unwell not to attend the surgery and advise parents to ensure patient attend with no more than 1 accompanying person when possible. We expect to co...ntinue operating as normal, however, we will of course abide by any directives put forward by the authorities. As circumstances continue to develop we will update our approach to ensure that the health, safety and wellbeing of our patients & staff is our highest priority.

01.01.2022 BEWARE EMAIL SPAM We have been advised that some people are receiving emails which seems to come from our email address [email protected] but are not issued by us. Our email address is used a display name but the email address is completely different. For example: Smile Design Ortho [[email protected]]... What Is Spoofing Email? Email spoofing is a popular strategy used in spam and phishing emails. It involves the modification of an email header so that the message appears to have been sent by someone else other than the actual sender. For example, you’re a Gmail user and receive a message from the following address: [email protected]. Seeing a familiar email address, you open the message and find out that Google needs you to reset your password. Since you have no reason to question the validity of the claim, you click on the included password reset link and reset your password. The only problem is that the original message wasn’t actually sent by Google. Instead, it was sent by a cybercriminal who used email spoofing to trick you into thinking that they are Google. To identify actual sender we need to manually check email headers. Most mail clients and services make it possible to display full mail headers by selecting an option called something like View Source, Show Original, or perhaps View Message Header. You should then compare the domain name included in the sender’s address with the domain name of the mail server from which the message originated. There is also more in-depth explanation here https://securityboulevard.com//email-spoofing-101-how-to-/ DO NOT OPEN ANY ATTACHMENT IF YOU SUSPECT THE EMAIL IS NOT FROM A GENUINE SOURCE. ALWAYS CHECK THE EMAIL HEADERS. These emails may also look like they are coming from Dr Dineen, Dr Antoniou, Dr Le or any of our staff members with an email address always make sure you check the email address.
