24.01.2022 Last night as I was sorting through bags, I came across the most beautiful bag of scrunchies from a little biz called Scrunchie Heaven which triggered a memory. I recalled following a story on social media a while back through a mutual friend of a family who were doing it tough. The Forster family here on the Sunshine Coast has been delivered the devastating news that dad of 3 girls and husband to Kelly was battling brain cancer. With a broken heart I followed their journe...y and tragically Andrew passed away around 18 months ago. Following her beloved Andrews passing and turning to her love of sewing, Kelly created Scrunchie Heaven to support a cure for Brain Cancer and sells the most beautiful scrunchies regularly donating a percentage of proceeds to Bloomhill Cancer Research. Thank you so much Kelly for not only donating these beautiful scrunchies but also for donating your time to create them - the most important and valued gift we can ever give someone is our time. This week I found myself in the news which I’m not overly thrilled about but I’m so appreciative for the follow up story and grateful for this amazing and supportive community in which we live.... All these bows are handmade with love and I just know they will have some little girls smiling! Thank you so much Jaq for your thoughtfulness and your generosity - this is absolutely incredible! 17.01.2022 REASON TO CELEBRATE Today we delivered 2 pallet loads of Smile Bags to Morgan’s Long Distance Transport where they will make their final journey into the arms of the children affected by the Australian Bushfires. I truly hope that over the coming weeks I am able to share with you all some real images of these bags hitting where they are needed most and delivering HUGE smile on these children’s faces. ... AGAIN thank you to Morgan’s Transport and everyone who has contributed, donated and supported to get us to this point. I’m so grateful for you all. THANK YOU

11.01.2022 *****UPDATE***** Hi Everyone I just wanted to jump on and let you all know where we are at in terms of delivering our incredible 422 Smile Bags into the arms of the children affected by the fires. ... The wonderful team at Morgan's Long Distance Transport have so generously offered to transport all bags into the Kempsey Shire (NSW) and surrounding regions where they will be distributed by some generous and selfless helpers who have worked tirelessly since the beginning of the bushfire season to ensure aid is received where it is most needed. Bags will initially be distributed to schools and children in Macleay and then onto Taylors Arm and Bowraville who you will recall were devastated by fires at the end of last year. Left over bags will be on-forwarded to surrounding areas. I will be aiming to deliver all bags to Morgan's depo at Yandina this week and will provide further updates and photos in due course when they land in NSW. A HUGE THANK YOU to Gordan at Morgan's Transport for your generosity and to EVERYONE who has gotten us this far <3 We're almost there <3

10.01.2022 The last few days have been BANANAS! We are just shy of 400 page likes, I've literally had 1000's of post engagements, messages, questions and people just popping by to say 'hey, I love this idea'. Its really so wonderful and I'm so excited to watch this grow over the next couple of weeks. To make life a little easier I've created some pics that I think should answer most questions that I'm fielding but also make it easier for you all to share and get the word out over the w...eekend :) We will be accepting donations until approx. 24 January 2020 so lots of time to hit the shops and donate. Please also continue to share, like and comment. We love that stuff! I can't say it enough, but thank you all for everything so far. This is going to be EPIC!!! 10.01.2022 UPDATED DROP OFF POINTS - we have so much of the Sunshine Coast now covered (and even Brisbane CBD) hopefully making it a lot easier for you to donate <3 There have been requests from people unable to make it to drop of locations and some very generous requests from people out of our area. It just warms my heart. I'm in the process of setting up a funding page so people can donate this way or alternatively you could purchase gift cards from Big W/ Kmart etc and we can shop o...n your behalf. Isn’t it wonderful to see rain falling across the country in so many much needed areas We’ve had a massive week running around the Sunshine Coast dropping off collection bags and picking up donations. 02.01.2022 I collected yet another bag of donations from the good people at Budi Dental last week and it was let on to me that a large majority of the first bag of donations as seen in this photo were in fact from CAYAC Op Shop & Care Centre in Maroochydore. CAYAC or ‘community assistance for youth and children’ is a wonderful organisation established to provide assistance to people who are struggling. I’ve been a follower of their page for a few weeks now and and level of support and ...assistance offered from everyday people and it’s volunteers is nothing short of heart warming.
