25.01.2022 This patient came to me recently with very old, loose and ill fitting dentures. What struck me immediately about the appearance of the dentures was the size and shape of the teeth used. They were far to be too big and square for her face. They just didn't suit her. She had that "horsey" look. They screemed false teeth. She also had an issue with "lip biting" as the lower teeth were set far too low. As a result she has a large area of hyperplastic tissue on the Inside of her lower lip from catching her lip repeatedly whilst chewing. I fitted her with a brand new set just today. Slightly Smaller, more rounded tooth. Set in nuetral positions. A very natural result. She was very pleased. Another happy customer.

24.01.2022 Another happy patient today. This patient is wearing an implant retained partial lower denture and a full upper denture. A great example of the the kind of improvement that can be achieved by taking the time to get things right. Notice the lop-sided appearance of the anterior (front) teeth on the old upper denture. Also the posterior teeth (premolars and molars) are set too far in and appear to be disappearing inwards towards the back of the mouth.

22.01.2022 This was a tricky case. Patient initially required a partial upper denture and full lower denture. The problem was that her 2 remaining teeth in her upper jaw were twice as long as they should have been as a result of over eruption. It was a very undesirable situation. I decided after consulting my dentist that they needed to be extracted. So I had to organise the dentist to come out to the nursing home where she resided and have the teeth removed on site as she was immobile. The denture then became a full upper immediate. So we were able to extract the teeth then insert the denture immediately afterwards. The result was quite pleasing. Another happy customer

18.01.2022 Before & after pics. Another happy customer. This patient presented with a very old full upper denture and no lower denture. Just 6 front teeth remaining in the lower jaw (mandible) . As pictured you can barely see her top teeth when she smiled because over time the underlying gums shrink and the denture teeth wear down. When this happens the patient loses lip support, aesthetics and function. Dentures should be replaced every 5 years ideally.

18.01.2022 In accordance with the Australian Dental Associations policies around the current health pandemic, we have have moved into level 3 restrictions as practitioners. This means is that our work is now limited to denture cases that are an "Emergency" i.e Is the patients ability to eat jeopardised if treatment is not caried out? For patients that need assistance you can contact me through this page or phone me on 0442437085. Stay safe and keep smiling because life's too short not to. Cameron

15.01.2022 Here's a great example of what happens to dentures over a long period of time ( average 10+ years) as a result of ridge resorption or "shrinkage" of the underlying gums. The denture slowly disappears becoming barely visable. Other than the obvious cosmetic change, and an ill fitting denture, another more serious problem occurs. The patients' "bite" changes. The patient has to "overclose" and consequently protrude their jaw (mandible) in order to gain contact (occlusion) between the upper and lower teeth. It can also cause alot of (Temporomandibular) joint pain and muscle soreness. Dentures should be replaced every 5-7 years.

14.01.2022 Before & after pics. This patient presented with old & worn out full upper & lower dentures. First thing I noticed was the unappealing look of the teeth. Notice the shape of them and all the pink inbetween them. Not very attractive. Also her bite seemed to be far too far forward as she was protruding her jaw to get some contact so she could eat so they weren't functioning properly. She was due for a new set that looked good and fictioned well. Another happy customer

05.01.2022 Some Examples of a custom fitted sports mouthguards. (Colour choice subject to availability) I make these in 4 sizes to suit all levels of age & competition. Type 1. Junior/sport (mainly for preteen kids. These are the most basic of the 4.... Type 2. Senior ( suitable for teenagers-adults. These are similar to junior/sport but thicker with a balanced bite platform and cheek shield. Type 3. Professional (these guards are for high level, high impact sports. They are made thicker around the front teeth with a hard plastic insert for site impact distribution. Clear colour only) Type 4. Martial Arts ( obviously these ones are designed for martial arts/boxing athletes. They are designed to cover more teeth I.e all back teeth, They are thicker again and finished slightly lower in the palette for maximum air flow)

04.01.2022 Another happy patient. It's always very satisfying to see good results and nice smiles. This patient was very relieved to get a good fitting, comfortable new prosthesis. He had visited me numerous times to have his old denture adjusted with persistent soreness on his underlying gums as a result of a poor fitting denture. He decided that the best option was to replace it with a new denture. He was pleased he did.
