22.01.2022 The pure joy on children’s faces to be out and about in our local community again! Yesterday the preschoolers headed down to the park for a fun filled day of sporting and outdoor adventures- cricket, skipping, elastics, soccer, climbing, rolling, running, kite flying. Check out the pics to see Diane nailing the ninja slack line! To quote Reiya it was the best day ever !!!

06.01.2022 Always was, always will be This years Theme for NAIDOC Week recognizes that First Nations people have occupied and cared for this continent for over 65,000 years and acknowledges and celebrates that our nation’s story didn’t begin with documented European contact whether in 1770 or 1606 - with the arrival of the Dutch on the western coast of the Cape York Peninsula. The very first footprints on this continent were those belonging to First Nations peoples. naidoc.org.au

05.01.2022 Enjoying the glorious spring weather with a spot of fishing along the riverbank! It’s disappointing that there is rubbish on Bundjalung land one of the children said when they noticed rubbish on the riverbank and collected it to put in the bin. When children have a love and respect for country from such a young age, it simply becomes second nature to care for it

04.01.2022 Thanks Avalon for bringing in these cute little silkworms and silkworm eggs. Such hungry little fellows, they are growing and getting fatter and fatter every day! We eagerly collect more mulberry leaves and check in on them wondering when they will start weaving their cocoons as we learn about it lifecycle...
