19.01.2022 What a fantastic day to be out and about. Just let the steers into a fresh paddock after being on some forage oats. Spring is on its way early with the wattle trees starting to flower. I will lock up my paddocks for hay next week and silage was locked up 3 weeks ago. Have you thought about your silage and/or hay for this coming spring?

19.01.2022 What a beautiful day to be planning for the coming spring and summer. With the price and availability of millet due to the drought being high, another option for summer feed could be a brassica, a sudan grass or a sorghum. Some good mixes are millet and brassica, and a sorghum/sudan grass variety. Brassicas are dearer per kg than millet, but are sown at 2-5kg/ha (depending on variety and situation), and can be grazed multiple times for good quality summer feed. For a farm visit to plan for the upcoming spring and summer I can be contacted on 0487904330 to organise a time.

13.01.2022 It's not common for me to see more than one, but to see four was fantastic. This was taken on a farm at Alexandra along the Goulburn River.

12.01.2022 Millet over last summer. The boys loved it. Going to plant more this September with Brassicas for early summer feed.

09.01.2022 Its not common for me to see more than one, but to see four was fantastic. This was taken on a farm at Alexandra along the Goulburn River.

07.01.2022 These steers are eagerly awaiting for there next feed of ryegrass. How is everyone managing their feed through winter? Growing good quality grass is cheaper than buying feed. We can customise a program to suit your farm needs and budget. Contact me on 0487 904 330 to organise a farm visit.

05.01.2022 Have you got your winter feed sorted? Forward planning can save you money$$$. These steers are on a fresh patch of annual ryegrass. Sown in April with 100kg/ha of DAP and its looking great.
