NAIDOC Week celebrations are held across Australia annually to celebrate the history, culture and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. In March, this year’s celebrations were moved from July to 8 15 November 2020 due to COVID-19. This year’s National NAIDOC week theme is Always Was, Always Will Be and recognises that First Nations people have occupied and cared for this continent for over 65,000 ...years and their spiritual and cultural connection to Country. For Architects, designing with Country should be captured within the initial stages of a project. It helps everyone directly involved in the built environment respond to regulatory requirements in a practical way, and look at the overall planning with fresh community minded eyes.
