FIT OUT - Check to see whether there is an existing fit out that may be suitable to operate your business. For example; If your opening a restaurant is there a pre-existing kitchen fit out? 3. Check services and their location.shifting services can be an expensive exercise.... 4. What’s included in your leaseAIRCON? More importantly is it working!!! 5. RENT FREE PERIOD - This can be a godsend when starting a new business particularly if fit out is required in order to commence trading. 6. Will the land lord contribute to the fit out?... If so, it’s important to know what happens to the fit out in an event you have to move out of the premises. 7. Is the lease classed as a retail shop lease? There is separate legislation that applies to retail shops that you should be aware of. 8. Don’t be in a hurry to sign a deal insure you do your homework before you sign any binding documents 9.
