25.01.2022 Non-urgent / Routine appointments: Please be advised there is currently a 3-4 week wait time for routine/non-urgent appointments (e.g. check ups, cervical screening, RMS medicals). It is highly recommended that you book in advance to ensure you see your usual doctor. Please call 6766 7755 after 11:00 am weekdays to secure an appointment.



23.01.2022 *Announcement* Smith Street Practice is implementing an automated reminder system via HotDoc. We are in the early days of rolling out this process and some of you may have already received a text message reminding you of your need for an appointment. To avoid any confusion below is template of what one of these messages may look like, all you need to do is follow the link and fill in your details as prompted.... COVID-19 sympto...ms can include fever, cough, sore/scratchy throat, shortness of breath, loss of smell or loss of taste, as well as other reported symptoms including fatigue, runny nose, muscle pain, joint pain, headache, diarrhoea, nausea/vomiting and loss of appetite. 05.01.2022 Smith Street Practice would like to advise that as of October 1, Telehealth (phone) consultations are no longer routinely bulk-billed. This action coincides with the revised Medicare guidelines for phone consultations for GP's. Smith Street Practice does, however, offer a reduced fee for these privately billed consultations. This means that after the Medicare rebate, patients will be $30 out-of-pocket for their telephone consultations. If you prefer to have a face-to-face consultation with your doctor, a normal fee will apply.
